Review: I was so excited when I came across this as it took me back to the 80s and my super hair crimper that myself and my sis absolutely lived for. Got this for my nieces to try hoping to relive our nostalgia.I was surprised how big and cumbersome it was to handle and found it a bit clunky for teenage hands to operate themselves – unlike our compact 80s one. As with all heated appliances the potential to burn yourself is always highly prevalent, so I found extra caution was required to handle this large barrel as it does warm up and you can feel the heat. A glove would be recommended if you’re not used to this type of styling. More recommended for longer hair, due to the size of the barrels. Provides a nice gentle wave but would use with a heat protection hair serum especially as the barrels don’t appear ceramic coated ( even my 80s ones had some kinda sealing on them…).Was hoping to obtain the Taja Sevelle – Love is Contagious look from 1987 – but didn’t.Recommended for a fun girly nite but not continuous usage.
