Title: Small flash drive with decent amount of memory
Review: Small flash drive with decent amount of memory for back up purposes. So far, it has functioned very well. It did get quite hot when I transferred all my files across using up about half of its memory, but now I am only updating changed files it stays cool.The main drawback is its small size so can easily be lost if you are carrying it around. To get over this I purchased a Molain metal keychain with carabiner clip also from Amazon. The keyring supplied was larger than the flash drive, so I have substituted a smaller ring (see picture).

Title: Mini sized pendrives
Review: Excellent storage.Only problem is its size – I deliberately bought a small pen drive that couldn’t be damaged if something weightier fell on it/pushed against it, but this pendrive blends into my laptop too much rather than jutting out so I forget it’s there and sometimes forget to remove it. Simple solution would be to add a coloured keyring to it to make it more visible.A little bit fiddly regarding size but again I deliberately chose a smaller pendrive for the above reasons.Brilliant to have the pack of 2 as backup is a lot simpler.

Title: Robust, quick and a bargain.
Review: Over the past year of 2021/22 I’ve bought 10 of these Gigastone flash drives. 8 of them are 32GB drives, and 2 of them are 256GB drives. Don’t underestimate how important it is that the casing of these drives is made of metal. They are robust, stand the test of time and also the metal casing makes an excellent heat sink, particularly useful when writing to the drive. They do run fairly hot but their metal casing dissipates the heat well. They do not run any hotter than other makes I have and again, easily outperform the plastic SanDisk drives I have (2x 512gb, 2x 256gb and 1x 128gb capacities and several other SanDisk 32gb & 16gb models…..again, all plastic). Over the past 20 years I used to buy SanDisk only, then the metal ‘Integral’ drives and now the metal Gigastone drives. I find these Gigastone drives have better read/write performance than the other brands, they’re faster and much more robust being metal cased than SanDisk’s flimsy offerings. ‘Integral’ metal drives are good, but with my experience of ‘real world’ usage, I find Gigastone to perform the best.Maximum capacity is one of my requirements so i’m looking forward to Gigastone releasing a 512GB and possibly a 1TB drive one day.

Review: I ordered 2 of these. Both are very slow. When running a live OS from them boot times are 5 times slower than an old SanDisk USB stick I’ve had for years, and programs take an age to open compared to the SanDisk.Nice and small, but save them for something where speed doesn’t matter.

Review: I’ve purchased 4 pcs of these (128GB) over the last 4 years (2019-2022). I’ve also bought several Gigastone uSD cards as well over the years. One thing that I can state about the Gigastone brand is that all the flash memory I’ve received from them over the last few years has the correct capacity.I always test every flash memory I buy when they first arrive (h2testw) to make sure the drive is fine and the capacity is correct. Review: Gigastone flashdrives are smaller and easier to use than I’d thought they were going to be! I purchased the 64Gb twin pack for an economical solution to a Windows 11 bootable flashdrive recovery disc. They’re very small and almost unnoticable when installed in my laptop USB typs A port. I’m already planing an even greater capacity Gigastone flashdrive puchase in the near future. And did I mention the Amazon Prime next day delivery was before noon on the following day. This has to be the greatest laptop upgrade purchase I’ve ever made! Coudn’t be happier!
