Title: Perfect for griddles
Review: This is a high-quality beast of a scraper! Probably more aimed for the commercial side, but perfectly usable and worthwhile having if one feels the need for a decent one. I tried it on my square flat griddle pan which rarely does require scraping as it is seasoned very well, and it works perfectly.For newer cast iron griddles which still need to be seasoned in, this should be a great aid as scraping helps to refine the pan’s surface, making it smoother and more non-stick when seasoned well. It is perfectly straight and flat, which is what you want in a scraper… much better than using my metal spatula, which isn’t flat and as substantial as the blade on this Gibbs scraper. I like that they have thought about the hanging bracket being long, so also doubling up as good hand and knuckle protection.Overall, very good quality! I like it!

Title: A Useful Tool with Many Uses
Review: I ordered this to use at home and in my work studio. I’m used to using many different professional quality tools and machines, so I prefer a good quality, strong scraper like this over a domestic one.This is larger than a standard scraper, 9″/225mm long in total with a 5″/125mm long handle and a 4″/100mm wide blade. It’s substantially built and the blade is thick, spares are available and I’m sure I could resharpen it on a stone quite easily if I get the right honing angle. It’s a thick blade, so each one will last me a while anyway.The blue blade cover can also be used as a wall mount, though I might find a hook or magnet more convenient long term.I’ve been using it at home on the hob, with care at first, and for that, it is excellent, despite its size.I work with leather, so I’ve also found it useful for scraping, smoothing, and thinning leather in certain scenarios. It’s extremely rigid, so it works well for trimming off surface defects, especially on the reverse of the leather.In addition, I’ve found it to be excellent for removing glue and stubborn old labels. Its rigidity lends itself to all sorts of tasks.I’m happy with the price because it’s so well made, it’s commercial quality so it will last for a long time. In addition, the blades are thick and strong, so each one lasts a long while and replacements are available. Over time it will prove to be great value.I would like to see a dedicated blade sharpening guide I can use with a standard sharpening stone because the blades are strong and could be resharpened many times.Other than that, it’s a genuinely good quality tool which can be used for all sorts of scraping and trimming tasks and will last, producing less waste.

Title: Very well made but possibly over-engineered and maybe not needed for domestic users
Review: I have a small hotplate grill – I don’t use it much and it’s stainless steel. Cooked on residues can be hard to remove and the best way is to use a scraper.I don’t know if this can be used in any other domestic setting other than cleaning stainless steel griddles or cast iron pans. I thought about use it on the oven but didn’t want to risk scratching the oven surface.I can see how for a larger commercial setting this would be a great tool but for everyday Mr I have a small flat plate grill I don’t think it is needed.Great tool for what it is – just decide if you need something so bulky that you might use only a few times a year.

Title: very effective scraper
Review: This is super effective at removing burnt-on food matter. The included wall mounting system is very usefull for keeping it handy. I found it works best when you heat up the ring, spray with water, and then scrape with the boiling water on the surface. The metal bar is a great safty feature, protecting your hand from the hot surface. Overall, it’s a must-have tool for any kitchen. Highly recommend!

Title: Cleans so well!
Review: This griddle scraper has been made very well and to a very quality, can tell it is used for commercial kitchens. I’ve used it to clean grease/black burns in my oven and flat griddles and its been great! Sharp enough to get rid of dirt but not enough to leave any scratch/damage! Highly recommend.

Review: I am happy with this griddle scraper, I have tried it on ceramic hob (prefer my smaller scraper for that), the oven door (great) and to get the burnt on blackness off of oven trays (also great). For a commercial kitchen the heat protector may be useful and necessary as a safety feature, but I found it a bit bulky. For what it does it is very good but a tad pricy at £24.99. I could not get the adjustments to work, it was either tight or loose, could not get any actual adjustment, but maybe I need to try this again.

Review: Great scrapper that makes easy work of griddle clean up. There is a included wall bracket if you are so included to mount it somewhere. It is a little lighter than commercial versions depending on what you are after.I am personally using this at home on a griddle to great success. Cleans up nicely and has a sharp blade. Seems easy to change out as well with a few screws.

Review: I have three griddles and I enjoy a fast, efficient clean-up, so I ordered the Gibbs Heavy Duty Griddle Scraper. It provided excellent results on my stove-top stainless griddle as well as my older, well-seasoned cast iron griddle on the patio. We just installed a new Cafe range with a pre-season cast iron griddle that was cast with really coarse sand and I think that the griddle is still too rough for this scraper, but I’m sure that it will be fine once the griddle is better broken in and seasoned. The build quality on the scraper is top-notch; it has a good heft and the blade feels like it will hold up nicely. I really like both the built-in stainless guard that gets between your knuckles and the griddle, as well as the wall-mount. A 5-pack of replacement blades is only $15 at the time of this review, so in the long-term, it continues to be affordable.

Review: I’ve been using a 36″ blackstone for several years now. Every now and again the seasoning just needs to be ground off and redone. I think this is partly because the seasoning gets uneven when the spatula just isn’t able to get all of the remnants off. This scraper leaves nothing behind. Very sharp, easy to use, and easy to clean.
