Title: Excellent Affordable Pro Control Pad
Review: An excellent pro controller at a budget price. Well made with mechanical buttons. The extra buttons underneath are easy to program and comfortable to use. You CANNOT adjust stick sensitivity through the app, though, if that’s what you’re looking for; it only lets you modify the deadzones. It doesn’t have hall effect sticks, but if you do end up getting any kind of drift it is cheap to buy another. I bought two just to have a spare!

Title: It’s great
Review: I am so glad I bought this. I play COD on PC through Steam. It was super easy to map the back buttons using the app they said to download through Microsoft store in the instructions. It came with a gift card to Xbox game pass, which I won’t be using lolThe quality of the buttons feels amazing. The controller is a little bit smaller than the original Xbox Series controller, so it’s taking me a little time to get used to it, but overall I’m really happy.I also bought the 3 year insurance, so I’ll be good for a while. I recommend buying insurance, this controller is perfect for PC.

Title: Hey it’s pretty good
Review: So I’ve had this controller for probably more than a month now. Little backstory I play on Xbox series s, and for the past 3 years I had used a regular Xbox series x black controller, I never had a single issue with it until recently it started playing up and i pretty much couldn’t use my Xbox. At this current time and in my country this controller was the same price as a new Xbox series controller. I knew that Xbox series controllers have the reliability, but I had done a lot of research on the G7 and wanted to try something new. I must say the first time holding the controller it felt very premium compared to the regular Xbox series ones. It feels very smooth, the studded grip on the back is actually rubber which feels much nicer compared to plastic on my old one. I will admit it does take getting used to if you usually use regular Xbox controllers, the shape is a bit different, one thing I didn’t like at first was the placement of the “menu” and “map” buttons and how they were much flatter than what I was used to but it’s easy to adjust to it. The face buttons are tactile and have an audible click sound to them, which you can’t help but smile when you hear it, obviously when you’re wearing headphones you can’t hear it, and at first because of the tactile buttons, whilst wearing headphones I actually found it hard to tell if I was actually pressing the face buttons or not because they felt so light. Suffering from success I suppose. Some people complained that they wish they had made the face buttons a different colour i.e. have the letters be black or grey or just have them blanked out, but that really didn’t bother me, plus you aren’t looking at the controller whilst you play anyways. One of the main selling points of this controller is that it’s more of a professional controller with added features at the same price point as a regular Xbox controller, one of the biggest features being the back paddles, well they are buttons not paddles. I was sceptical before buying, but the back buttons are in a very comfortable position and are so easy to remap, that’s another good thing about this controller is you don’t need any software to remap the back buttons though there is a software available should you want to fine tune your controller, though if you’re a casual every now and again gamer like me that won’t be necessary. The actual thumb sticks themselves are from the PS4/5, so if you want to use kontrol freeks it’s best to get the ones made for PS5 as they fit perfectly. I’m pretty sure the Nintendo switch ones fit aswell. Also I’m the box it comes with another faceplate in white, it’s very easy to swap the faceplate as it’s just magnetic and comes off. I’ve got a bit of a “stormtrooper” esc design, I have the white faceplate on with white kontrol freeks making it like black and white which looks pretty good. Another thing is the d pad has other functions, if you hold down the “M” button, which is the added feature button, and press the d pad buttons it can do things like increase or decrease the volume and also increase/decrease party chat to game volume ratio. Although to be honest I have never used this feature. I will note that when I first plugged in my headphones even on max it was quite quiet so I realised I had to turn it up on the controller d pad. Here’s one of the biggest negative things I’ve find and maybe it’s just mine but basically the controller has like “space rings” I don’t know what the actual name is but if you move the thumb sticks around it feels very smooth, but sadly it stopped working on the left stick on the forward part of it after about a week, I’m guessing that’s because in most games the left stick is pushed forward majority of the time, so now that part broke and it feels really grindy and bad and even makes a squeaky sound when I click the left stick as it is pushed forward. I considered returning it to get a new one but I couldn’t be bothered with the hassle as it’s a minor thing. It doesn’t really affect gameplay but I was just disappointed with how quickly that stopped working. All in all I think this is a great controller. If I could go back in time and either buy a regular controller or this one I would probably choose this one

Title: Replacement Controller
Review: Got this as a replacement controller for my PC Rig, my old one was on its way out and just causing issues so decided to just get a new one and ended up settling on this, both me and my partner use it when gaming, the different covers are nice as I tend to use the black one and we’ve going to but black cats on the white one so it can be my partners controller cover, its really comfortable in your hands and isnt super heavy, its feedback is good and using it is a breeze, will definitely have to get another eventually

Title: Better than the Elite Series 2
Review: Okay, so I was pretty surprised by this one. I’ve had an Astro C40 controller since 2019 and that unfortunately died last month (It was a great controller!) so I went and purchased an Xbox Elite Series 2 controller.I returned that in less than 12 hours. The paddles felt uncomfortable to use, and the face buttons were not responsive (1 out of 5 times they just don’t engage due to the design of the mainboard inside the controller). This one though? Oh wow. Silky smooth thumbsticks, responsive triggers (would have liked trigger stops, but hey), face buttons that are mechanical…It’s a great piece of kit for like 1/3 the price of the Xbox Elite Series 2.Just… buy this one.

Title: Absolutely ridiculous
Review: It’s a good controller but I’ve had it for 4 days and the left stick has already developed stick drift I previously bought a powerA controller for around £20 and it lasted me 2 years before it developed problems and for a controller of this price to have stick drift after 4 days it’s ridiculous

Title: Very impressed
Review: I have gone through a few controllers in the last year. 1 standard Xbox controller, 1 cheap controller and 1 Xbox elite controller. All had issues so this was my next purchase. So far after a month I think, it’s going well. The clicking of the buttons reminds me of a mechanical keyboard so they feel so much more satisfying to press than a regular controller.Additional buttons at the back aren’t their own button but instead you can remap a regular button to the back. I had hoped it would be treated as additional so I could add extra functions but that’s fine.A good controller and would definitely recommend and re buy if I needed a second

Review: I am absolutely blown away at how great this G7 controller is for my Series X. I initially sought this out because I have big hands (for reference, the fingers in XL gloves are about half an inch too short for me) and the stock Xbox Series controller was actually painful for me to use. I could see in photos that the G7 had a different shape, more vertical on the sides with longer grips, and other reviewers had said they felt it was much more comfortable, so I gave it a shot. I can confirm the G7 is a different shape, and for me, MUCH more comfortable to use. That’s terrific, but it turns out I actually love EVERYTHING about this controller more than the stock one. Here’s what I love about this thing:1. The shape – The stock controller is narrow at the top and has a V shape with sharply angled sides. This causes my fingers to lay over the top and around the back of the controller where they interlace with each other. This makes the shoulder buttons very hard to press down on, and I have to actually curl my fingers back and hold them in an arched position to press the shoulder buttons. The grips are also too short and so my pinky and ring fingers kind of slide off the controller and cup the bottom of the grip. The sharp angle of the sides also caused my wrists to bend at an unnatural angle, and I have to keep my elbows out to the side to accommodate, which isn’t a natural position when I’m sitting down. It had reached a point I didn’t even want to touch the stock controller because it was making my wrists and hands ache. The G7 fixes all of that. You can see in photos that the outer edges run more vertically down into the grips. This makes a HUGE difference, so my wrists aren’t angled so sharply. I think it’s wider at the top as well, and my index fingers rest quite naturally on the shoulder buttons. The grips are also slightly longer and easier for my pinky fingers to wrap around. The differences are subtle, if you just glance at photos they almost look like the same controller, but the differences are enormous when I actually hold the controllers in my hands. The G7 is an absolute life-saver for me.2. The buttons – This really surprised me. I’d read the buttons were different, but I really just wanted the G7 for the shape and figured I’d roll with the buttons however they were. Turns out the buttons feel amazing to me, maybe my favorite of any controller I’ve ever had. I kind of hate how loud and clicky the face buttons are on the stock controller, and I find they are so hard to press down that it actually starts to hurt the middle joint of my thumb over time. The G7 buttons are much easier to press down on but still have the nice clicky accuracy of the stock controller. They are also perfectly responsive and register inputs exactly as I expect them to. These are clickier than the PS4 controller, but not nearly as loud and clicky as the stock Series controller, and to me they feel exactly right. Same with the D-pad, which is surprisingly my favorite part of this controller. Any chance I get, whether it’s in game menus or playing a side-scrolling beat ‘em up, I will happily use the D-pad just because it feels amazing to press down on. Perfect amount of precision and clickiness but with a slight softness to it that I love. Similar to the face buttons, the D-pad also feels very precise and responds exactly how I expect it to.3. The texture and overall feel – The back of the controller is textured with a firm rubbery feel, and it is noticeable as soon as I pick it up. Huge difference from the hard plastic of the stock controller. Again, I had no interest or preference in this when I bought it, but it has became one of the many things I love about the G7. It just feels so secure and comfortable in my hands, and along with some wonderfully textured analog sticks and the super responsive buttons, I feel like I have complete control over what I’m doing in-game at all times. This thing is a joy to pick up and hold.4. Other stuff – There are mappable buttons on the back of the grips, one on each side. I actually didn’t like these at first and found myself awkwardly pressing down on them accidentally while playing. They weren’t mapped to anything yet so it didn’t affect the game, but it still felt weird in my hands. But two things happened: 1. my hands and fingers adjusted to the buttons being there and I never press them accidentally now, and 2. I chose to map L3 and R3 to them and have found that to be a huge improvement in comfort and just satisfaction with the gameplay experience over pressing down on the sticks, which I’ve never loved on any controller. Playing a first person shooter where L3 and R3 are used for run and melee feels so awesome and satisfying with those back buttons now. Also, I am a huge fan of the cord. My specific gaming setup does not involve pets or kids etc and so a cord doesn’t bother me, and I actually prefer it over the batteries so I’m not always getting a notification that the batteries or battery pack is low. This thing is just always ready to go. The cord is a nice woven one as well, and like everything else on this controller, feels very high quality. Plus, this controller pays for itself just from the cost of batteries or rechargeable battery packs. The swappable face plates also sit snugly and securely, to the point I would never even know they were there. Lastly, the controller came with a code for a month of free Xbox Game Pass Ultimate, which is a $15 value. That wouldn’t matter at all if I didn’t like the controller, but considering how much I love the G7 itself, the code is like a cherry on top.Okay, I know this has been a long review, but a couple final thoughts: Before buying the G7, the PS4 controller was my favorite to date. The Series S|X stock controller was my least favorite controller of any recent console generation (much worse to me than the 360 controller, which I liked and used for many years with no issues), and it had actually begun to ruin my experience with my Series X and made me want to not play any more. Mercifully, the G7 has completely transformed my experience with my Series X. Not only is it a huge step up from the stock controller for me, but after spending some time on my PS4 recently, I can say the G7 is definitely my favorite controller ever. I get excited just to use it. I will literally be at work sometimes thinking about how much I love the texture and buttons on this thing.Everything about the G7 is so well thought out and the craftsmanship is remarkably high. This is all subjective, of course, you may not like the feel of the buttons or the texture etc. and the cord might be a hassle for you. And a lot of people love the stock controller as-is. But at the very least, if you have large hands like me I would 100% recommend giving this a shot, as the shape of it has been an absolute life-saver for me. I have had this for almost three months now playing several times a week, and it has been perfect. If anything goes wrong with it I will update this review, but considering how incredibly well made every part of the G7 feels, I expect to get many years of use out of it.

Review: Start and select buttons are slightly off location compared to a regular Xbox controller and take some relearning of muscle memory but the underside buttons work great and are super easy to map. For those who don’t want to pay for an elite this is the next best thing.
