Review: I have always wanted to try a paint sprayer as painting anything is one of my top 5 most hated things to have to do. I was a little disappointed in the feel of this sprayer when it arrived as its build quality doesn’t feel great, it feels very plasticky and ‘cheap’, so I am not confident it would last a long time.In terms of use, I just tried it with some water first as I didn’t want to waste any paint while trying to work out how best to use the sprayer. It allowed me to get a feel for it, without having to ruin anything in the process.I wanted to use this sprayer to get some outside things painted before the winter, one of which being a gatepost that we recently installed. As you can see from the video, it makes very short work of painting the post and it literally took about a minute to get all sides covered.It is a very noisy machine though and I would think that if your using it inside, the noise would become very tiresome, very quickly. It is also a little difficult to get just the right coverage, and as such the finish wasn’t as smooth as it would have been if I had done it with a paintbrush.All things considered I am a little undecided on what I think to the machine. It does work and obviously can speed up a job massively. I could imagine using it to repaint a shed or paint a lot of fencing but otherwise I would prefer to use a brush and have better control over what I am doing. It certainly has its uses and for the price it might just be worth it to make a job like painting metres and metres of fence so much quicker to complete.
