Review: For years I’ve faffed about with different packs of wall plugs and finding screws to fit them with occasional success. None were particularly robust or reliable. Sometimes they’d work, more often than not, not!Having moved house earlier this year there was lots to do and stumbled across this set. Seemed a good one with the reviews so I bought a box .. best decision I’ve made.I’ve put up shelves, pictures, security fixings, into brick, concrete, plasterboard, all with ease. Honestly, I can now be confident that I can drill the wall and tap one of these plugs in, knowing that I won’t be pulling them out when they don’t work. They do. Everything stays out when screwed in and doesn’t budge. Paired with a good quality drill bit, measure twice, drill once! Jobs a good ‘un.Allows me to get it right first time every-time and not (yet) had one fail, or not work as expected.I’ve bought two of these now and have even bought a separate pack of the two smaller plugs to have in stock for future jobs. Who knew that a good quality box of bits would be a game changer!You won’t go wrong buying this box. All kept tidy and together. No more hunting around for screws that are the right size. Often daunting for a casual DIY’er drilling into walls, especially in a new house, but confidence in knowing these work.

Review: I bought these cos A. I didn’t know what size I would need and this set seems to have the 3 most commonly used sizes and B. I’ve just moved and don’t have a clue what the walls are made of and it’s by no means a new build. Found they took away any worries about what kind of wall plug to use (kitchen cabinets onto tiled walls-first time fir me) and have found the fact these will bind to any substrate invaluable.Hadn’t heard of Fischer before but they really are superior (more so than you’d think) and if you want to be sure of a good fix, worth that bit extra money. I did find I used the middle size (plugs) the most so have bought more of that size. The screws in the pack are good quality as well and don’t strip easily at all so I used them when I could too. Def. recommend.

Review: These are definitely a ‘premium price’ wall plug but let’s face it – a big pack like this will last you for ages.Wall plugs do a very important job and ‘going cheap’ on such an item can have massive repercussions when your telly comes flying off the wall! So, spend a couple of quid more on something that will do the job properly.These are a really well-designed bit of kit and knock the socks off of conventional ‘Rawlplug’ in terms of sturdiness and build quality. The real beauty of them is that they’re a solution for all sorts of applications – concrete, solid brick, perforated brick, plasterboard, hollow block etc.I’ve used these for bike hooks in the garage, bathroom cabinets, and a behemoth of a mirror in the living room and I know not one of them are coming off the walls unexpectedly.I won’t be using anything else from now on.
