Customers say

Customers like the quality, value, and elasticity of the chopping board. For example, they mention it’s great for purpose, easy to clean and store, and very flexible. They’re also happy with size, and ease of cleaning. That said, some complain about the thickness. Opinions are mixed on ease of cutting, and durability.

Title: Great value, bigger mats.
Review: Great value for money.Decent size, bigger than most, which is what I wanted. A cutting mat the size of a table mat is of no use to me.They are quite thin, but again, this is fine by me. But it means they won’t last too long with my very sharp knives. The surface is already scored, which if you are very hygiene conscious, would be off putting. But that’s why I bought a 4 pack! I’d rather throw one away when they get too bad, which you tend not to do with wooden boards. And glass just dulls your blades.I hand wash them as I don’t have a dishwasher, so don’t know if they would warp if you do use one. Will be buying again.

Title: Very good for what they are
Review: These chopping boards won’t solve all your kitchen problems or make you a gourmet cook. But for the price, they are an excellent addition to your kitchen tool kit. I would never have these as my *only* chopping boards, but they do make an excellent compliment to my existing ones. They’re very handy, for example, for setting down atop your veg-covered chopping board and chopping your meat on them, thus avoiding cross-contamination. They’re also good to lay down for slicing bread or other crumbly items, because then you can pick the board up, give it a quick rinse, rather than needing to wipe down a heavy board or your counters. They are flexible and lightweight so you can pick up your chopped food and pour it right into your pan.Because they’re lightweight, you will end up with knife gouges in them. I haven’t managed to cut through them at any stage, as another reviewer mentioned, and I do use them quite often. You will want to be aware of these gouges when you’re washing up, though, as they can trap food particles. A careful washing in hot water should resolve that with no issues. They are dishwasher safe, but they’re a bit tall for mine, so I end up washing them by hand most times.

Title: Loving these
Review: This is a set of very thin, flexible chopping mats for use in the kitchen, colour coded for vegetables, poultry, other meat and fish. They can be put in the dishwasher, and are hard to mark with a knife. There are basically two kinds of chopping boards — the kind that are beautiful, and the kind that are functional. Massive hardwood boards look great on the sideboard, but you can’t put them in the dishwasher, and they are hard to get really clean any other way. Plastic chopping boards of various kinds are usually quite thick, and sometimes patterned with a texture that is a little like wood. Although initially much easier to keep clean, they tend to scar, and so are just as likely as wooden ones to be holding food traces. For this reason, commercial kitchens have been using colour-coded boards for a long time, so that the meat board is never used for vegetables, etc. Even so, once boards have begun to scar and refuse to get clean, they ought to be replaced. These mats go one stage further — recognising that you will never cut right the way through one, even with a scalpel, they are made thin and flexible. You can roll them up to store them, allowing the surface to be really quite big — almost as big as an A3 sheet for these mats — and you can flex them round things for the dishwasher. The surface is a lot harder than most of the plastic mats we’ve used, though not so hard that it blunts the knife. Nonetheless, they will scar eventually. At this cost-point, though, it shouldn’t be too much of a wrench to dispose of them and replace them. All in all, these are the most functional chopping mats or boards we’ve ever had, and we are no longer using the collection of other boards we had before.

Title: Thinner than you would expect
Review: A reasonable sized board coming in different colours for different foods.Howerer the decals for the food types soon come off. They withstand a fair bit of chopping and slicing before becoming to damaged for hygienic use, but being very lightweight do bend easily if transferring food from board to pan. They do the job but wear quickly.

Title: Excellent good value chopping mats
Review: I have had these cutting mats for about a month now and have used them every day. My knives are kept sharpened and yes there are scratches on the mats but they are certainly not deep scratches, even the most expensive boards get scratched and they are much better and cheaper than other mats I have bought from supermarkets. If blunt knives are used they may slice into the board as more pressure is needed to cut up food. They are flexible so allow you to tip veg and meat straight into a pan. They fit into the dishwasher as long as they are put in the side slots out of the way of the spray arm and they have anti bacterial properties so they are hygienic to use. All in all I think they are a very good buy.

Title: Flexi Cuting Mats
Review: If I had written this review when I had just got the mats I would have said they were flimsy and rubbish – HOWEVER , having used then in my B & B for a few months I am so happy with them….they are BRILLIANT. In fact I have a couple of the hard catering ones and I now much prefer the lightweight ones. My reasons – they are light and flexible so you can take them to your pot and ben then and just push your meat or veg off them and straight into the pan with out any spillage; they are durable – of course they mark like any other board but I have used mine non stop for months and they will last me for ages eg on the cooked meat one I even use an electric knife and it stands up to this no bother; AND they can go ing the dishwasher so they are nice and hygienically cleaned after every use. Excellent !
