Title: Exactly what I wanted
Review: I got exactly what I wanted.My wife does not like normal oven mitts that she has to put her hands in… clearly for whatever strange reason (like why she married me I guess) but she prefers these square things for some reason… they are a good replacement, they are much better than using your own hands to grab hot stuff, no more burns with the right positioning.They do the job of not getting burnt and can be washed. What more can I say.

Title: Turned out very well in the end
Review: I had a problem with these attractive potholders initially as there were three different sets of washing instructions for the item. Firstly, the product description said “machine wash”, then the plastic packaging said “hand wash” and finally the item label said “do not wash”. After lengthy communication with the producer, they said they would correct this, and now it says on the Amazon product description, “daily use and wash product”, “washable on a daily basis and still perform perfectly for months” and finally, “look fresh and new even after several washes”. There is no information still about the recommended washing machine temperature or programme. Having decided to chance it, I washed the potholders at 30°C, dried them outside and finished them in the airing cupboard. I was pleased to find that they washed well and haven’t deteriorated in any way. It remains to be seen whether they will “look fresh and new even after several washes” and “still perform perfectly for months”, but I’m hopeful! Could have saved me a lot of trouble if the instructions were better.
