SAFETY WARNING

How to solder?
Clean the parts to be joined, and cleaning the soldering iron tip and “tin” all faces of tip with a coa ting of solder.
Heat parts (not solder) to be joined.
Apply flux-core solder to heated parts. Not the soldering tip, and heat it till solder melts and flows freely.
Remove the electronic soldering iron at an angle of about 45° when the soldering point has been totally wet by solder.
Steps for the soldering
1. Clean the soldering parts as well as the iron tip, connected it with power.
2. Adjust its temperature slowly to warm the soldering iron for about 1 minute.
3. Touch the soldering iron tip to the component you want to solder. After a second or two, introduce the solder to the joint area and heated it to flow.
4. Remove the solder first. Then, remove the iron. Make sure the joint remains stationary while it cools.

Review: Looks the part and with 5 tips and temperature dial seems good value. My problem is that with the very fine tip (Used on camera PCBs) I found it difficult to get enough heat to melt even tiny solder joints. May be better with the heavier tips but I haven’t used them yet so can’t comment.
