Review: 1 – the lead is not heat resistant so it melts if you accidentally touch it2 – on second time removing (unscrewing) from the base station the whole ‘pin’ section pulled apart exposing the wires – there’s a hole where I’m guessing there used to be a stud or pin3 – the tip does not reach the desired temperature- it’s cooler than my original so I have to put the station up to maximum temperature just to get close4 – the handle section keeps untwisting from the tip no matter how tight I make itSave your money

Title: Okay – but needed some tweaking
Review: I bought this as a replacement for my 936B soldering station. I needed to tweak the temperature calibration screw on the station to get it to anything like the right temperature, I would think its own thermistor behaves differently than the original one. Poor quality tip but was able to replace with some others i had. So works OK after some tweaking, good value for money.I can’t speak for its longevity as only been in use for a few days.
