Review: Really nice looking kettle. It takes less energy than my previous kettles but takes slightly longer to boil, which is fine with me, very quiet. The only problem I have had is after boiling several times the water and inside of kettle smelt/tasted very chemically. My previous kettles have been fine after a few boils. In the end I googled and tried squeezing lemon juice into kettle with some water and boiled it, then rinsed. This seemed to work wonders, was thinking I would have to stand back but it’s finally ok now.

Review: We have found that the internal safety thermostat is stopping the kettle boil. It auto starts again 3 times before the water even boils. The plastic handle is very ugly too!Decent looking, expensive but ultimately does not do the job!

Review: I’m impressed with this kettle the pale blue fits in nicely with my other small blue appliances. It is very quiet and boils quite quickly. Just be careful the lid does get hot.

Title: Aesthetically great, faulty electrics.
Review: Love the look of the kettle, but after two months of use the on/off switch decided to work rather erratically. Which I’ve just noticed other people have commented on. Obviously there is a known fault with this model, which is potentially pretty dangerous if the auto-switch off doesn’t work.However, Ascot customer services have been fantastic, and immediately sent out a replacement. Hopefully there will be no issues with the new kettle.

Title: Underwhelming
Review: I bought this kettle because my wife wanted a glass kettle due to her dislike of plastic. Sadly the handle is a tacky bit of plastic and does diminish the look of the kettle significantly. Within the 4 months of having the kettle it has also had issues with switching itself off mid boil, this doesn’t happen all the time but it clearly could have better electrical components for it to have issues almost from the off. It’s easy to clean which is the kettle’s main redeeming feature.

Review: As a Brit, having an electric kettle is a MUST. They are quite difficult to find in stores here in the USA because it seems that America is still living in the 1800s by selling kettles that still require boiling water on the stove! I mean WHY? A saucepan does the same thing! AND stove-top kettles take SO much longer to boil water and don’t switch off automatically when they’re done. It’s madness!But I digress.I have bought several electric kettles online, and they have all been pretty good. However, I wanted a yellow kettle to match our kitchen decor (we’re going for a mid-century modern look), and it had to have a filter in the spout. This one kept coming up, and I was unsure of a completely glass kettle (including the spout), but I have to say, this kettle is gorgeous (or “gawjuss” if you’re a true Brit!). It boils water really quickly, looks amazing, and the circular spout creates a lovely pour. I know that sounds weird, but if you’re ever poured something from a kettle, or jug, or anything with a spout, and it’s gone everywhere due to poor design, you can appreciate a “good pour”. I love this kettle so much. If it ever breaks or dies, I’m getting another (as long as it’s in yellow).

Review: This is such a beautiful tea pot, I had to buy a countertop distiller to have a constant supply of lime, free water to use with it. It fits my style perfectly. Others have complained about silicone being in contact with the water, I’m not sure if the silicone is inside the pot or under the glass as a gasket. Either way, silicone is non-reactive with hot water and I am not worried about it. I will be buying another because the price went down, and I anticipate using it in my rental. If your eyes popped when you saw this tea pot like minded, definitely get it, you will love it.
