Title: An impressive machine
Review: My old coffee machine died. Sob sob. After a brief period of mourning I realised I couldn’t lounge about for long without replacing it. I did quite a bit of research over a short period of time and eventually plumped for this one based on the overall strong reviews here on Amazon. I’ve used it 3 times so far and I’m impressed.Pros:Makes good, hot coffee. Ultimately the most important thing here. Certainly much hotter than my old Russel Hobbs.Doesn’t have one of those naff re-useable filters. Good old fashioned filter papers, thank you.The gauges actually line up; ie the gauge on the water level actually does correspond to the gauge for how much coffee you end up with in the pot. My old machine was waaaaaaaaaaaay off.Good colour choices. The machine is available in 3 colours, I chose green, but thankfully there is no brown. Only with this machine did I realise that brown is the worst colour for a coffee machine if you want to try and keep it clean.Beeps when you turn it on and when it’s finished percolating.Overall very good for the price.Comes with some filter papers.Stylish design.Cons:The jug lid is quite firmly attached to the rest of the jug and, together with the rather conical shape of the jug, make it rather a pain when it comes to washing it up properly afterwards. It is possible to remove the lid but it is a bit of a faff and I don’t think it’s meant to come off regularly.The gauge only measures in cups, not mugs.Overall:I’m impressed and feel my money well spent so far. The jug lid is the only real negative but I don’t think it’s enough to deduct a star in this case. Overall I find it much better than my old Russell Hobbs machine ever was, and a lot cheaper too. Review: A great coffee percolator that looks great and works well. I didn’t want a black or unattractive one sitting on the worktop so went for looks when I bought this as present, over a couple of features that are lacking on this product. 1: no timer, not a problem as I’m usually up first and turn it on. 2: you do have to use filter papers which is a bit annoying environmentally etc but is less messy to empty. It doesn’t come with a few to get you started which was good on Xmas day!

Title: Functional, aesthetically attractive.
Review: Very attractive, functional filter machine. I chose this particular model both for the colour and because there is just one function button. The reminder alarm that coffee is ready is particularly handy for me personally; I’m apt to forget things and have very little sense of smell. The machine also matches well with other mid-century reproduction devises in the kitchen, and it matches the colour scheme.

Review: We’ve bought a number of such machines over the years, but this one is the best by a clear margin. It’s simple to operate, robust, and makes good coffee. It is not bulky. It works best with paper filters.
