MULTIPLE TEMPERATURES
The multi temp jug kettle has a choice of temperature options which can be adjusted in 5°C increments using the buttons on the handle. This ensures you always get the best flavour from your drink and allows you to make hot drinks a slightly cooler, drinkable temperature.
Use the 85°C setting to maintain the flavour of delicate green and white teas, the 90 and 95°C settings to avoid burning coffee. The 100°C setting is perfect for black teas and for making teas with fresh mint or ginger,
The handy LCD screen allows you to see the temperature of the water at all times so you’ll know if you need to re-boil.

Title: CUISINART PEARL KETTLE
Review: As highlighted by previous reviewers, the button on our kettle Failed. It was within its 3 year warranty and we received a replacement kettle which only had an extended warranty of 6 months beyond the original 3 year term (in effect 15months warranty). Now Just out of this 15 month warranty, the second kettle has now developed the same fault. Also the silver disc on the lid has now become detached with no way of fixing it back on. We are now left with a matching toaster and no kettle. This is a very poor quality kettle and certainly not worth the purchase price. Don’t waste you money.

Title: Long term review
Review: This kettle started playing up after 30 months. As some have mentioned, the behaviour became erratic.From cold, it would reach the set temperature but then fail to reheat, with the blue light quickly going off. Empty and refil with cold water and it may work again. Not a scale buildup and the temp sensor looks OK.A second oddity is that sometimes simply pressing the power button for boil, the light comes on but no heat then after a minute or more, it does a few beeps then the light goes out.Evaluating the electronic controller, the fault was traced to the main power supply capacitor, which is fairly typical for this type of design so back to the manufacturer for swapout.Contacted the manufacturer Customer Services, sent some pics of the kettle as requested, and a replacement has now arrived so excellent after sales service.A simple suggestion to extend the service life would to be to leave it off the base when not in use for a few hours.

Title: Changes in design and operation make this inferior to previous versions
Review: I have used this kettle for several years, always liked it. Last one failed so I bought the same type again. First, the polished steel version is no longer available so I got the satin/matte finish, not quite as nice but still looks good. However….some changes have been made which are problematic .When switched on at the mains, nothing happens – the temperature display blue light and water indicator blue light DO NOT illuminate (the manual says they should – not sure if this is a fault). No lights come on until you manually press the ON button. When pressed once, the lights come on and the kettle boils. Then when boiled, it beeps 5 times (normal) and the water indicator light immediately turns off (this is by design, it is mentioned in the manual). The temperature display light remains on, but only temporarily (for 10 minutes, according to the manual, but in reality more like 3 to 4 minutes). This behaviour is very irritating, and different to former versions of the same kettle. With my previous models, the blue backlight on both temperature display and water indicator stayed on permanently as long as the base had mains power, allowing me to always see the temperature and the water level. With this new one, only the temperature indicator light remains on after boiling, and then only for a short time. If at any point the kettle is removed from the base to pour some water, then put back on to the base, BOTH the temperature and water indicator lights remain OFF. So every time the kettle is removed from the base and placed back onto it, it returns to what seems to be the the default state where the mains power is on, but there are no lights, and no activity until you press the ON button. It made sense to be able to see the temperature and the water level at all times. Now, most of the time I can’t see either unless I actually press the ON button. It’s an inexplicable and annoying functional change – why not just leave the lights on permanently while the device has power? I disliked it so much that I returned it.

Title: I like it.
Review: I like it. This design stainless steel and lights are pleasing, and the temperatures are helpful if you need to use it non boiled beverages like coffee. It is very quiet compared to the previous old one we had3 points:- 1 It is not light. 2 the lights seem to stay on – I need to ring about this – I understood they should power off.3 as is often the case it is not easy to read the levels for just one cup.update – I phoned them. The instructions are for an older model. The lights do not switch off as described. I was told that switching the lights off and then on used more electricity, than leaving them on. I guess that will depend on use. Very helpful on the phone though. So I reckon customer will be at least good, which means a lot these days.On this basis I have put the stars up to 5 though I still wonder about the lights, and using up the old instructions.

Title: Stopped working after 18 months
Review: I was initially happy with the kettle. Looks good and boils water = happy. However, it stopped working after 18 months. It turns on then switches off immediately. Very frustrating as it doesn’t get used that often. (twice a week maybe). I have contacted the manufacturer today as it was purchased with a 3 year manufacture warranty. I will update this review if the issue is resolved.Ok. The manufacturer issued a replacement so fingers crossed I won’t have any further problems.
