Title: Fully featured solar power CCTV camera
Review: I was looking for an outdoor CCTV camera that was battery/solar powered, and I found that his particular one has the most complete set of features.1. Large battery2. Solar panel included3. Outdoor / waterproof4. Pan/Tilt option5. Floodlight6. IR light / night vision7. Radar & PIR for improved motion detection8. SD card for local recording9. 2-way audio10. Large external Wi-Fi antennas for improved rangeThe feature-set is very impressive, and I found that they perform very well in a real environment.Wireless Range:The WiFi antennas have a good range, and I had no problem connecting the camera to my router over 10m away.Installation:The installation is easy enough using a mobile phone and the app “Ctronics”. I selected my home wifi network, entered the password and then my mobile phone started emitting sounds that were captured by the camera’s microphone. 20 seconds later, the camera was connected to the WiFi!Mounting:There is a mounting plate included in the box, that can be mounted on any wall using standard screws and plugs. The solar panel sits on the camera itself as shown in the product description pictures, which saved me the trouble of drilling extra holes for the panel itself.Picture quality:The picture quality is excellent both day and night time.Night vision:The night vision is impressive using the IR, but you can also select to use the floodlights when motion is detected. I personally selected the floodlight as I want the camera to also act as a theft deterrent.Pan/Tilt:The pan/tilt work as expected using the app, but I was impressed by how completely silent the camera is when moving! I have used other cameras in the past (both indoors and outdoors) and they were all loud when moving.Motion detection & notifications:So far this camera has the best motion detection and the fastest notification to date. I guess the inclusion of a radar makes a difference, but I was also impressed of the speed of the notification on my phone. Some cameras suffer from delayed notifications or delayed recording, this one doesn’t.Overall I think that this camera delivers an impressive set of features, and even though it is more expensive than others, it is worth the extra cost. Especially if you do not want to run wires outside to power a mains-powered camera, this camera is your best 100% wire-free option.

Title: Excellent security camera
Review: Overall I’ve found the camera to be well built and good quality. It’s got good video resolution and picture quality with the ability to control camera movement via the Ctronics app. You can download the app from the app store and put in the camera details as stated in the instruction manual. It has good night vision and motion detection features.In addition you have a peace of mind while having a cost effective solution for security of your home or workplace.I would highly recommend this product since it’s easy to setup and serves it’s purpose quite well.Also during winter season in UK the battery charging went down and had to recharge manually. But having contacted support, found out battery drain can be mitigated by switching to default settings. Features like light activation during night can drain the battery.

Title: It would have been great BUT……
Review: First of all, I like the design of this camera it feels reasonably well built for the money and the premise of the solar panel to charge an internal battery pack was what sold it to me also the ability to FTP my alarm recordings was great….. BUT….The solar panel is inadequate for charging vs the power requirements of the camera. this has led to me having to dangle a phone charger out of a window to charge the battery’s which only last about 3/4 days with the solar panel.Other cons are the on the software side of things…. First off the camera is from China and comes with the usual translation problems (inc Manual) and the software is to limited with no explanation on what each thing does, i consider myself pretty tech savvy and i had problems… the software is missing key components which i would expect from a CCTV styled camera. And the fact it is on Mobile devices only is a much bigger problem than you can imagine. downloading and sharing video files is a multi stage headache.. so if you need to send any imagery to the authority’s good luck if your not tech savvy.Update 08/01/22.. Its now dead… no longer charges from solar panel its now constantly plugged in, doesn’t loop video recordings so manual format of card is required.. manual format of card has stopped working in software.. only thing that still works is video passthrough and pan and tilt.. Basically e-Waste now 🙁

Title: A very good choice
Review: I bought this camera after seeing that it had good reviews, this is my first camera so I didn’t have anything to compare it to but I am really impressed with the quality and ease of use once set up. The only issue I did have was when I was trying to connect the camera to my wifi through the app, I read the instructions numerous times and was ready for giving up but then I put my phone on aeroplane mode and it worked – what a relief!, it had taken me all day!For anyone buying this you need a ‘mini’ SD card so that the videos are saved. Also ensure that it is fully charged before trying to connect it to the app once purchased.The picture quality and motion detection is brilliant, I get a notification to my phone when there is movement and the solar power means you don’t need to charge the battery, I’ve had mine up for 3 weeks now and it’s still got 50% battery.On the app you can move the camera to where you want it facing, the camera does not move by itself but you can move it 355 degrees left to right and 90 degrees up and down, you just use your finger to move the picture and it moves the camera.There is also a microphone so your videos have sound and you can talk through it from your phone.The night vision is very good.I also won 1st prize on a Anniversary Celebration gift card which came in the box which was a security camera so I contacted CTRONICS on Facebook Messenger and someone responded with an Amazon voucher code. I then ordered my FREE security camera and it has arrived today – how amazing! It’s the same as the one I have but without the solar power. I’ve won 2nd prize this time so will hopefully be receiving a FREE SD card very soon.

Review: Overall I am happy with this purchase. The quality of the camera recordings is good. I am still experimenting with the best location to place the camera to get good nighttime recordings. The camera has the option to record sound.Solar charged batteries: I have the camera in the sun and the solar panels keep the battery charged. I have AA’s installed as a backup, but so far they haven’t been needed.You can view the camera feed and recordings from your phone at home or away, and no subscription service is required. There is a detailed log that tracks all camera activities such as Network Wake Up, Normal Standby, and Alarm Recordings. Most of this is system information and there is no additional information except for the Alarm Recordings, which are captured videos.When viewing the live camera feed options are available to immediately take photos and/or videos. Only during the live camera feed can photos be captured. Alarm Triggers will only capture videos. Also, during live viewing there is an ability to have a conversation. It is a little tricky since only one person can be talking at a time, but it is doable.There are two storage areas, one for Photos and one for Videos. All recorded videos are stored by date and time (military) and stored in the Online area of the SD card. Videos can be downloaded into the Local area of the SD card. Captured photos are immediately placed into the Local area. From the Local area photos/videos can then be downloaded to the Photos software on a phone or tablet. This seems redundant but I have a trail camera and the process is the same.NOTE1: There is no ability to delete files from the Online area of the SD card other than choosing the Format SD Card option in the SD Card Settings. The camera performs Loop Recording, which keeps recording photos and videos until all space has been used, then it will overwrite the oldest files. Downloaded files to the Local area of the SD card can be selectively deleted within the software.NOTE2: When performing the Format SD Card action, it will only delete the logs and recorded videos in the Online Area. If photos/videos are downloaded to the Local area these will not be deleted during the Format SD Card.Now that I have used this camera and know its quality, I am considering another camera, and it will definitely be a Ctronics.The software:The manual that comes with the camera explains the install process perfectly. Getting the camera on-line was quite easy.The software takes a bit of getting used to, but once you understand the process for viewing recordings, saving them, sending them to the photos app on the iPhone, it all seems quite easy now. Some trial and error and a little patience will give you good results. During experimentation there will be many photos/videos recorded. Using the Format SD Card option is a good way to eliminate all the tests. NOTE3: The software can monitor up to four cameras.Customer service:I had an issue when adding the software to a second device. I had changed the password and the 2nd device would not recognize the new password. I sent a message to Ctronics using their website. I got a very prompt response and we had a few email exchanges where Ctronics gave me detailed steps to fix the problem. All is working now with the software on 3 devices. 5 stars for customer service.

Review: Bought this camera last year and I was so pleased by it`s performance that I went for a second one. After 1 year or so the first camera start giving some problems (solar panel seem to not be working properly hence battery would not charge). I contacted Ctronics support to explain the situation and I was taken care of with extreme efficiency and kindness. I worked with Sophie over the course of several weeks till we got the situation clarified. The issue was indeed coming from the solar panel and Ctronics had no issue with replacing the defect solar panel with a new one. I now have two operating cameras and all seems to be well. I am definitely sticking to Ctronics and will soon buy some additional cameras.I can only recommend them as a serious business partner with good products and great service. Once again a big thank you to Sophie and her great work.
