Title: Works well, feels like good quality. Small tank.
Review: I already have a garment steamer, but this one is a different kind of design and is more versatile. It’s quite stylish looking and has a good weight making it feel like a quality item. It comes in a box with a little stand to put it down on once it gets hot. The mains cable is a reasonable length.You can rotate the head so that it’s either parallel with the handle or at right angles and you can either steam hanging garments or use it more like an iron, in which case you can use it in dry iron mode.The water ‘tank’ is a smallish tube that slides in and out of the handle. You get a little plastic jug to pour the water into the quite small hole. Its quite a stylish approach, but the water tank is pretty small and I think you’d be filling it regularly if you’re on intense steam mode. It says all but very soft water areas should use distilled water.It takes a minute or two to warm up, but I think thats because it’s heating the plate so that you can use it in dry mode. The LCD screen shows the mode you’re in and when it reaches temperature. There’s no temperature adjustment for dry mode like you’d get with a proper iron, and it takes longer to heat up than a pure steamer. It really isn’t that long though, but it is longer than the 3 seconds on one part of the listing – maybe closer to a minute.You can cycle through three steam modes using the touch sensitive button. The button is a nightmare. just a casual accidental brush causes it to skip through modes when you’re not intending it to. A physical button would be much better. Also if you’re on low steam mode, you have to cycle through medium and high before you can stop the steam.In summary, its a nice unit and it really does shove out a good deal of steam. It’s a flexible design, nice to use but hampered by a small water tank and irritating touch button.

Title: Ok but feels cheaply made
Review: I tested this and it does produce a reasonable steam spray – there are 3 settings – it did feel a little erratic in performance though – a sort of spluttering. This might be normal for these kind of devices – I have never used one of these handheld steamers before.The main let down is the quality of the materials used. The hot plate looks and feels really cheap – poorly moulded and very lightweight. The plastic water tank also looks cheap. You have to wonder where else corners have been cut.The water in the tank is held in place by a small silicone plug – this doesn’t feel that secure – you really need something like a screw in plug to be certain no water is going to escape inside the device – the water tank slides out from the handle.Overall not that keen.

Title: Quick & effective to use.
Review: Billed as a travel steamer, I was rather surprised at how heavy it was. It’s actually heavier than my regular hand steamer that isn’t intended for travel, however this one can be used as a more traditional iron, with it’s flat plate, rather than just a steam wand. In this instance, the extra weight could be a benefit.Going back to the travel aspect, it would appear it’ll only run on 240V AC, so that trip to the U.S. could be a very creased expedition.It’s ery easy to use, top up the water chamber (soft water only), plug the unit in, tap the power button & it’ll light up the ‘cool iron’ logo, subsequent pressing will cycle you through steam 1, 2 & 3, then back to the cool iron.It’ll punch out quite a bit of steam, not for very long, though, as the water chamber is quite small.Ultimately, it’ll get the creases out of your clothes & I find these particularly handy for working on curtains.A good unit, with a couple of little niggles to it.
