Title: Lovely light brown tone
Review: I’ve started buying semi hair dyes so as not to damage my hair as much after using permanent dyes for many years. And was looking for a light brown shade that didn’t turn out dark. And this was perfect. It was placed over 4 inch roots of natural mousy brown hair and the rest has multi shades of a variety of hair dyes. It is a lovely soft light brown with a subtle golden tint which catches the light. It is an even tone from root to ends, even after covering natural roots and dyed hair. I have quite a lot of grey round the front which it has covered. There is the odd silvery streak showing through but they seem to blend in. These could start showing after more washes. But I love the colour so much, I’m willing to put up with this.

Title: Amazed with the result
Review: Having not been to the hairdressers since the first lockdown, I was very nervous of using a shop bought hair dye – something I have never done nor never thought I would do! I was delighted with the results – I went from having dirty dark blonde lengthy roots (interspersed with my natural Nordic highlights!) and grown out brassy blonde highlights of various shades, to having a nice overall medium ash blonde colour. The ‘after’ photo’s are slightly misleading as it looks like I still had dark roots and the shade looks lighter than it was, but this was due to the flash on the camera – it was an overall a nice even colour. Although it’s faded as expected for a semi-permanent dye, I am still happy with it over 3 weeks in & have just purchased 2 more boxes.

Review: No ammonia hair dye is an excellent product to dye your hair without damaging itIt last less washes than it says on the box , you will need to retouch before the amount of washes it says on the box.Colour is like light brown which it took quite long for me to find out my real colour

Title: Great colour
Review: Used this colour during lockdown to ‘tone down’ the difference between my darker natural roots (naturally dark blonde) and bright blonde highlights.In my experience, the colour does come out darker than the picture on the box, so please do a strand test to ensure that you are happy with the colour before colouring your hair.I’m really happy with the result, the colour is great and it’s really blended the stark contrast between my highlights and natural hair colour….so much so that I’ve used it again rather than going back to a permanent colour or highlights.I found that the semi permanent colour lasted quite well, and only needed to recolour after 6-8 weeks. Will definitely use this again.

Title: My go to hair dye
Review: 2 years ago I started the process of getting my hair bleached to go to an ash brown colour. I have naturally dark Asian hair so I trusted a hair stylist at a fancy salon to help me achieve this goal. Low and behold, £200+ and months later… my hair was still damaged, orange and brassy. I decided to start touching up my roots at home during quarantine using some 30 vol and bleach powder I got on Amazon. After bleaching the roots, I apply this ash demi-permanent colour all over to achieve an even, toned and ash brown appearance. It’s perfect, although it does wash off within 3-4 washes. Also, I recommend 3 boxes if you have waist-length hair like myself.

Title: Does not wash out
Review: I used this during lockdown and beyond because at that point I was not ready to grow out my grey hair. I am now, but mistakenly thought that, as it says on the packaging, that it washes out after 24 shampoos. It doesn’t. 6 weeks and 24 shampoos later, when it hadn’t faded at all, I tried a dye stripper, which made no difference whatsoever. I then wrote to Clairol, who told me that since my hair is grey, there was not a lot of pigment in the cuticle naturally, and so the pigment in the dye has deposited itself there and will not wash out. It was suggested that I visit my hairdresser, although they couldn’t specify what a hairdresser would do. I do understand that most people want their dye to last longer, so that’s a plus, but clearly the idea of being able to use demi permanent dye to gently go grey and avoid a line of demarcation will not work. I do feel this should be pointed out on the packaging, especially since it says it covers grey. Now, at 8 weeks since my last dye, I’m resigned to having to just wait it out because the dye is going nowhere.

Title: Great
Review: I use this to restore colour. My hair bleaches out in summer. It turns blonde around top. This evens the colour back out and this colour brings out red tones in my hair. I have found over the years that dyes seem to be darker so I use the ash blonde by trail. I love this colour and my hair takes dye very well it will last ages. I leave it on for 25 minutes. Its getting hard to find in the shops and great price on here.

Title: Very effective
Review: I don’t usually leave reviews but I was really pleased with this product. It is easy to use, the colour was as expected and it covered all of my patchy grey hair. I have had lots of lovely positive comments on how good my hair looks.It is nearly 4 weeks since I applied it and it has barely faded – I have now bulk ordered it as I want to ensure I have enough for the next 12 months at least!
