Title: Great replacement for the Apple Wired Keyboard
Review: I’ve used an Apple wired keyboard for years with my MacBook until it recently had water damage and a few keys stopped working. I refused to pay £130 for a wireless full Apple keyboard and I found the Cherry option. I am blown away at the functionality of it, feels very familiar, great sound of the keys and quiet just like the Apple model. It sits slightly higher with the optional stick on legs but it is still VERY comfortable! For an self proclaimed Apple snob… this is a great bit of kit!

Title: Nice keyboard but no lock for standard function keys
Review: Great keyboard, nice feel, much cheaper than the official Apple keyboard. However, one big caveat if you use Fn keys a lot then beware that there is no way to lock them into normal “Fn” mode. The “Use F1, F2, etc. keys as standard function keys” has no effect. Even using Karibener Elements to remap them does not work effectively. This is what Cherry support say about the issue: “Unfortunately, the function that you require isn’t currently available with this product I’m afraid and this is something specific only to Apple keyboards – 3rd party products do not have access to the ‘FN’ lock, which will allow those commands to be used without holding down the FN key.” So, if the Fn keys are important to you then look elsewhere…

Title: Better than the Apple genuine wired keyboard, and 25% the price
Review: I dont use it for gaming, it is definitely not meant for that, with low travel keys, and not having the responsivess of a gaming keyboard, but I didnt buy it for that.It was bought to replace the a genuine Apple wired keyboard. I swear blind this is the same keyboard, just without an apple badge. But Apple charged £120 for it, so I could have got several for the price of this.Looks good, very nice to use and very quiet in use, which matters a lot to me. Plus the ” and @ etc, are all in the right place, ignoring that Apple do not seem to understand the phrase UK layout, very well.Overall, it is just great.

Review: I have been using an Apple Bluetooth keyboard that I got with a Mac in 2011 and hadn’t wanted to ever change it , it’s been used for a couple of Macs since but a couple of keys stopped working and my Mac mini occasionally doesn’t see it, (annoying when logging in!) so I decided to buy a new keyboard.I went for plugged in rather than wireless given the sometimes odd behaviour of the Mac mini. I recall Cherry as being high quality replacements for IBM PC back in the ‘80s so curious as they have been around a long time.They aren’t cheap but Amazon had an open box one at a reasonable price so I bought it.Very good quality, sturdy, quiet and just about every good thing you can add to a review. Got a long cable too which is good as my Mac is a distance from my desk.

Review: This keyboard is advertised as for MAC/PC but there is no way to lock the function keys when using a PC. I use these keys 100s of times a day so this keyboard is useless.

Review: Habe Ersatz für eine originale Apple-Tastatur gesucht (und gefunden).Die Mac Tastatur von Cherry hat ein ordentliches Gewicht, ist sehr stabil, obwohl das Gehäuse nur aus Kunststoff besteht. Sie fühlt sich dennoch stabiler an, als das Apple Keyboard. Nach Aufkleben der Aufstellfüßchen ergibt sich eine perfekte Ergonomie. Druckpunkte klar definiert, leise. Ich empfinde die Tastatur “knackiger” als das Original von Apple – im angenehmen Sinne. Die Space und Enter Tasten lösen besser aus als beim Original. Insgesamt. Tolle Tastatur für einen sehr günstigen Preis. Klare Kaufempfehlung.

Review: Ich habe nach einer Alternative zu meiner Apple Tastatur gesucht, da meine Originale so langsam den Geist aufgegeben hat. Da mir aber zum einen das Tastatur Layout als auch die Optik sehr wichtig waren, war ich bei der Auswahl doch recht wählerisch. Nach längerem Suchen bin ich dann auf diese Cherry Tastatur gestoßen. Mein iMac verfügt zwar noch nicht über einen USB C Anschluss, aber über einen Adapter war das Problem schnell gelöst. Es hätte noch eine USB A Variante gegeben, allerdings war diese nicht lagerhaltig. Die Tastatur kam schnell und gut verpackt. Nach dem Auspacken musste ich feststellen, dass sie sowohl von der Optik als auch von der Haptik her der originalen Tastatur sehr sehr nahe kommt. Zum Vergleich habe ich mal zwei Fotos beigefügt. Die Tastaturanschläge fühlen sich ziemlich identisch an. Auch das Gewicht der Tastatur ist ähnlich der Originalen, obwohl die Cherry aus Kunststoff ist. Das wurde durch das Einsetzen einer Metallplatte von Cherry ganz gut gelöst. Insgesamt macht die Tastatur einen stabilen Eindruck. Das einzige, was bei mir nicht auf Anhieb funktionierte, war die F3 Taste (Mission Control). Nachdem ich die Taste nur zugeordnet hatte, war auch das Problem gelöst.Jetzt kommt es mal darauf an, wie sich die Tastatur über einen längeren Zeitraum verhält. Aber der erste Eindruck ist absolut positiv!
