Title: Relates to brown switch version
Review: Really like the feel of this keyboard, the cherry brown switches for me give a really good typing feel. The board itself has a solid build with the metal plate and feels like it will last, really easy to clean as well.

Title: Loving this keyboard!
Review: Proper typing at last! This review comes from someone who’s worked with membrane keyboards for over twenty years. My old KB died, and I could have easily got another membrane type again, but honestly I’m so glad I decided to chance a mechanical KB instead. Mechanical is a great improvement imho. I love the tactile and audible feedback of (slight) noisy keys, with positive movement and clicks when keys are activated. It’s great, it’s a joy to use. Also new to me was the possibility of changing key caps, and I decided to swap out some of them for blue. Possibly not everyone’s taste, but I was keen to visually break up the mass of black keys.I will echo another reviewer’s comments re the indicator lights. IMO it would have been better to have num lock, scroll lock, and caps lock lights somewhere other than on the keys, especially the caps lock light, as it’s easily obscured by your left hand. Otherwise a great keyboard!

Title: Perfect Office + Gaming Keyboard
Review: The keys are an absolute dream to type on. Lovely sound, not too loud, just a satisfying ‘thock’ that won’t drive you mad! My typing speed has definitely increased. My last keyboard was a cheapo plasticy mechanical board that did well, but would not be anywhere near the quality of this board. Absolutely worth every penny. Looks gorgeous too! Lighting is tasteful, ie. No flashing rgb, just a num pad & caps lock indicator. High quality feel all around. Solid.

Title: Great keyboard
Review: This is a great keyboard and I’m so pleased I bought it. It replaces a non Cherry mechanical keyboard I had for a couple of years that started malfunctioning within a few months and gradually got worse. It also had coloured lights at the back of keys which you could change. I don’t know if this keyboard is any good for gamers as I don’t play games. Its a simple, wired keyboard, without lights, that feels wonderful and sturdy to use but which doesn’t have any whistles or bells, it just works! So if that’s what you want then I highly recommend this to you.

Title: Typing as it used to be
Review: Quite remarkable to return to typing as it should be after years of tolerating squashy keys, bunched-up letters, and little or no feedback. We bought the brown key version, mainly for OH, an ex journo, and we both love it. And it’s clearly built to last. Highly recommended!!

Title: Decent, solid, minimalist keyboard.
Review: This keyboard from Cherry has an understated design, with no flashy RGB to distract you while typing, and a plain, standard font on the keys, rather than a “gaming” typeface of the sort that’s so popular now. The version that I got has black keys (with brown switches) sitting on a dark bronze metal backplate. It feels very solid, and it looks nice and refined, but fairly minimalist. There are a couple of slight differences from a “standard” keyboard, in that the caps lock, num lock and scroll lock LEDs are on the keys themselves, as opposed to residing on a small panel above the numpad as they do on most other keyboards. Where that space would normally be, there are some extra keys: volume down, mute/unmute, volume up, and calculator. The USB cable, which is non-removable, is not braided. The usual two legs can be found on the underside of the keyboard, enabling you to raise it to a slight angle for typing, if you prefer that. The keyboard feels nice to type with. Although I’m more used to clicky (blue) switches, I adjusted to the brown switches on this one pretty quickly, although I must say that most of the time I didn’t notice the actuation “bump” at all when typing, but it is there, if you look for it. I didn’t experience any missed keypresses or phantom double keypresses. One issue I did have: the caps lock LED being on the key itself. I found that my own hand got in the way of seeing it much of the time! This is the first keyboard I’ve had that has the various LEDs on the keys themselves, and to be honest I think I prefer them on a separate area of the keyboard, away from the keys. But maybe that’s just me. I will get used to that though, as it’s definitely a nice keyboard, and I expect it to last a long time.

Title: Too clacky and let down by the finishing of the keys
Review: The keyboard has a good professional look to it. On the positive side the brown switches are fast and very smooth to use whilst still giving a tactile feedback. The keycaps are printed well and consequently they are legible even in low light. No need for a back light. There are two issues that have bothered me, and the more I use the keyboard, the less I like it. After working with it for a while, it’s beginning to get on my nerves. It is very “clacky”. I thought at first that this was down to the metal frame and the “open” design (no surround) but the sound is annoying in comparison to other metal framed open keyboards with brown switches which have a more pleasant “thock”.The other bigger problem is the finishing on the underside of the keycaps which is sharp and rough. With my typing position I easily catch the corner of the control key. If I run my finger along the side of the space bar I can feel a rough burr. The combination of tacky sound and poorly finished materials gives the impression of a cheap and substandard product.** UPDATE: I followed the lead of other reviewers and replaced the keycaps. The keyboard is much improved both sound-wise and finish. That just highlights how poor the quality of the original keycaps were. Frankly at this price you would expect good quality, finished materials throughout without the need to upgrade. **
