Canon MAXIFY MB2150 Multifunction Colour Inkjet Printer

Outstanding multifunction colour inkjet printer, scanner, copier and fax, with print and scan support for mobile devices and cloud services, 19 ipm mono print speed and a range of network features.

High capacity, high quality

Versatile printer, scanner, copier and fax designed for home offices that need great mono and colour print quality with a low cost per page. With a large 250-sheet feeder and 50-sheet automatic document feeder, the Canon MAXIFY MB2150 Series produces outstanding prints with vivid colours and crisp text using its marker- and friction-resistant DRHD inks. The Canon MAXIFY MB2150 Series prints A4 at a fast 19 ipm mono and 13 ipm colour, while its first page out time (FPOT) is just 6 seconds.

Economical to run

From its low energy consumption of just 0.2 kWh (TEC) to the high yield, individually replaceable colour cartridges, economy is a priority. Black cartridges provide an ISO yield of 1,200 pages and colour cartridges 900 pages, letting you work with fewer interruptions. The optional 4-colour multipack offers even more cost-effective printing.

Productive and easy to use

Double-sided printing and support for a variety of paper sizes and types – from A4 plain paper to labels, envelopes, photo paper and even two-sided ID card copying – makes light work of common office print jobs. Built for productivity, the printer is quick and simple to use: whether printing, copying, scanning or faxing, they’re all within easy reach with the Canon MAXIFY MB2150 Series’ 6.2 cm (2.5 inch) TFT colour screen.

Print from smartphones, tablets and the cloud

Google Cloud Print, Apple AirPrint (iOS), Mopria and the Canon PRINT app are all supported, as is printing from the cloud and even scanning and saving documents to popular cloud services, including Google Drive, Dropbox, Evernote, OneNote, OneDrive and Concur. Access Point mode means that smart device users can connect to the printer even without a Wi-Fi network.

Monitoring and maintenance capabilities

IP address filtering provides access rights to only a select number of users, while SMTP support allows secure scan-to-email within an office network. System administrators can quickly and easily configure the printer and restrict certain operations, such as scan-to-USB.

Simple network integration

System administrators will appreciate the Canon MAXIFY MB2150 Series’ Simple Network Management Protocol (SNMP) compatibility, a device management standard that makes it easy to integrate the printer into existing office networks. SNMP enables a range of maintenance monitoring functions, including ink levels, error status and page counts.

Title: Reliable nice printer. WiFi
Review: I like that it took the same cartridges as my old one! Partly the reason for buying. The old one is very old and never let me down, until what I thought was the end of its life, so I have form with these. Here’s the thing. I set up the new one, which is great, took the old one out of the office, tried to remove the cartridges, to use in my new machine, before taking it up to small elec recycling, and, blow me down, it sprang into life!Lazarus the printer! It’s all working fine and so now we are a two printer family. A bit bulky to conceal but it’s a really good scanner and the muti feed does not jam – nor does the paper when bulk scanning.

Title: General Printer
Review: Great value for what it does, a bit disappointed at canon as there is no option to do a draft print. the cartridge yield is not what they say it is maybe only half or less than projected amount. It does print well and extreme fast. the ink cost will be very high if you print as much as I do pity as the MX885 lasted me years and did the job. This looks the part but am worried that the ink usage will make me change in a few years. Wifi is easy to setup, pity that they removed the RJ45 socket too.

Title: Disappointed
Review: Always temperamental!. There would always be several blurry lines per page. It was almost a relief when it stopped working entirely just before Christmas. I had had 6 months of this iffy performance but I have no idea whom to complain to.

Title: excellent printing but unreliable and costly
Review: I do a fair amount of business colour printing and have had several printers in the last ten years. I bought a Maxify MB2150 just over two years ago.The quality and speed of printing, copying and scanning is all excellent.Cannons customer service is also excellent – phone them up and they despatch a replacement printer to you overnight. However -Ink usage is only half of what you might expect due to the fact it is always cleaning the heads. The software is too clever, and if there is a glitch it shuts the machine down with an error message saying contact Cannon service. Its almost impossible for you to rectify any technical problems – so you end up phoning Cannon for a replacement machine. Mine has gone back 3 times. At the end of the two year free warranty any repair is too costly so you have to throw this machine in the bin.I cannot recommend it. I hope there are more reliable machines in the Cannon range.

Title: I hate this printer
Review: I really do not like this printer. Hard to use, often gets jammed, the paper feed sucks, the control panel is not that easy to use, the instructions are poor. It is a low quality printer. It is 2 years old and is now broken and will cost me £120 to repair. Canon don’t care – if its not under warranty they’re not interested. Strongly suggest you do not buy this printer.

Title: Dont waste your money
Review: Dont waste your money. Has been a problem from day one. Fault after fault after fault. I should have sent it back right at the beginning but when your busy trying to work you try and carry on working. I’d never buy a Canon printer again !!!

Title: Expensive print cartridges and very poor customer service
Review: The quality of photos from this printer was quite poor but I wanted it mostly for occasional letters and notes. The Canon rep said this printer used toner ink that wouldn’t dry out so it was good for infrequent use. The print cartridges were expensive at around £44 but would last longer, so I was convinced. However, after five months, and around four uses totalling approximately 15 pages, the ink failed.Canon customer services then told me they normal ink and could dry out from around 2 weeks after opening so all I could do was buy more.Actually, I think I’ll just buy a new one from another manufacturer instead.
