Title: Great for Flex Cable
Review: If like me you’re into your DIY tasks, then you’ll come across some jobs where you need to work with 3 core flex cable, and the thing you’ll immediately notice is how hard it is to strip back to the cable to allow you to wire it into whatever it is you need.I’ve spent ages previously fiddling around with blades trying to peel enough back to expose the wires, ending up cutting into the wires inside usually and having to start again! Hence when I saw this handy tool I was keen to try it out.First impressions are pretty good, the tool is pretty simple in constructing, in that it has a turntable wheel at the bottom that extends and retracts a cutting head that cuts through the insultation material. Its very similar top a pipe cutter, and in fact it says it can be used to cut copper piping too. There is a spare cutting head stored under the de-brader on the front, however this is pretty stiff to move initially.Performance wise this works very well, simply put you cable through the opening and twist the wheel until the cutting head pushes into the flex, then twist the tool around the cable and it slices precisely through. All that is left is to pull off the flex and you have a very tidy cut exposing the wires.The tool can handle wire gauge between 4mm and 28mm, so although its not going to be useful for very thin wires, it is handy for the types that can be very hard to strip by hand.Overall for £13 this is a tool I wish I’d had a lot sooner, as it would have saves much frustration trying to strip back flex cables, so if this is the kind of job you find yourself doing occasionally, this is the tool you need to make your life easier

Review: This is so easy to use, is sturdy and comes with a spare cutting wheel in the head of the tool underneath a cover secured with a screw. Just place your cable in, turn the knob, and jobs done. Great little cable stripper.
