Title: The X-lock system is very convinient
Review: Wanted a cordless angle grinder as it seems to be the tool I most frequently want to use away from a power socket. I’ve got lots of the Bosch 18v professional power tools (hence batteries) so it was a matter of choosing one of from Bosch’s range and there lots to choose from.I opted for this one because of the X-lock system. 5 months in and my verdict is that this was a good buy.It seems that every time I want to use an angle grinder its got the wrong disk on it. The X-lock system is in this respect amazing, pull the red tab the disk drops out and push a different disk in. The disk can only go one way and is 100% secure. So 5 secs to switch out disks. Contrast that with a conventional system and you have to get the spanner, lock the wheel, undo the nut, switch disk , lock the wheel, tighten the nut.But because the X-lock is a special fitting you need X-lock wheels and although they easy to get hold of, they not as ubiquitous as standard wheels and that means you pay slight more. Looks like other vendors are also selling X-lock disk.I think X-lock is to grinders what SDS was to hammer drills. I wouldnt go back.Using the grinder is good. This model is slightly lighter than some of its brethering. My only gripe is I hate the power button. It a slide on and it says on, you have to actively turn it off which is fine for long cuts /grinds. But personnally when wearing heavy gloves I find the slide action awkard to turn on and off.

Review: Compré el modelo que viene sin baterÃas pero trae la caja L-BOXX (indispensable para guardarla y conservarla como es debido), 5 discos X-Lock, el mango estándar y los 2 protectores estándar, uno para amolar y otro para cortar.La amoladora no es ligera, ya que al añadirle el peso de la baterÃa sube bastante, pero tampoco es tan pesada como otros modelos superiores y más potentes.De prestaciones va muy bien:- Tiene 11.000 rpm fijas, no tiene velocidad variable- Sólo admite discos X-Lock, que son más caros que los tradicionales. No obstante el sistema X-Lock es genial, te olvidas de llaves y es prácticamente imposible colocarlo mal: sólo entran en una posición. Además cambiarlos es rapidÃsimo, 10 segundos o menos. Basta con tirar de la palanca roja X-Lock para arriba y el disco se suelta. Para colocarlo basta ponerlo encima de las plaquitas levantadas según el patrón de los orificios, presionar hasta escuchar un “clack” y ya (ver fotos adjuntas a mi opinión).- El protector se mueve o cambia con una palanca en cuestión de segundos.Otra ventaja inherente a usar herramientas a baterÃas es que te da una versatilidad muy grande cuando tienes que usarla al aire libre. Recomiendo utilizar baterÃas de 5Ah como mÃnimo. Las originales de Bosch son bastante caras, pero te aseguras que las celdas que llevan son de calidad.Da una potencia equivalente a una amoladora de 800W según el fabricante.Los discos con los que viene este pack son todos de 125mm de diámetro:- 1 disco de corte universal para piedra/cemento/bloque- 3 discos de corte recto para metal de 1,6mm de espesor- 1 piedra de amolar metal de 6mm de espesorEn la caja L-BOXX tiene espacio para guardar:- La amoladora con su protector y con una baterÃa insertada o no- Varios discos, unos 5-6- Una baterÃa extra en un hueco- El mango extraÃdo o insertado en la herramienta- Un protector extra- Un hueco para la documentación u otros accesoriosLa recomiendo encarecidamente y si necesitáis que tenga velocidad variable tenéis el modelo GWX 18V-10 SC con prestaciones y precio similares
