Title: Abysmal sound and dangerous charging sockets that don’t work
Review: I have a similar product that was about £18 that I’ve misplaced. I assumed this would be similar but it’s shockingly bad. The sound quality is abysmal. Very hard to adjust it as there’s only one button and the dial. Most importantly, I was driving for a while and noticed my iPhone 15 battery was going down not up. It also said it couldn’t find any satellites for GPS for miles. The moment I unplugged this monstrosity, the GPS reconnected. So the power this is supplying via USB is so dirty / shorted that my phone wouldn’t accept charge from it and it was so bad it prevented my phone from connecting to GPS. I found my proper one and have slung this one as it’s not even good enough as a spare. On the plus side, it does actually broadcast the music (albeit poor quality but would be fine for voice / talk radio / podcasts) and I had no problems pairing with Bluetooth. Buy cheap, buy twice though.

Review: Got this coming up on the device after connecting to my phone, no idea why or how. Won’t work at all even after following all the troubleshooting instructions

Title: Cheap and it shows in some areas
Review: This is a very cost effective item and it shows. The instructions are not good. You can work out most things but I am at a loss on how to ‘synchronise the frequency of the device to that of the radio’. Fortunately 87.5 is free where I am with no adjacent channels until radio 2 and so we could get music from the phone via this frequency. However the audio quality is OK at best. The volume at max on the device is way below a comparable radio station and there is always a hiss of interference. The hands free experience wasn’t an experience at all. We could get sound out (very quiet) but could hear nothing from the incoming caller. Overall if you need a connection from phone to old car radio with no aux input then at £5 this will do a job. But not one you’d want to rely on consistently or use for important hands free connectivity.

Title: A bit of hiss
Review: Maybe not a fault of this product, but there is some interference with the FM transmission due to the car electrics. Appears to get worse the faster the car goes! Your car might not have this issue.A device that plugs straight into the aux socket of the car would be better if your car has one.Aside from that, it’s fine, charges devices fairly quickly via the USB ports. BT connection is fast and stable.
