Title: Great idea but impractical.
Review: I wanted a new bluetooth adapter for my FM radio so I ordered this one.This is possibly one of them most disappointing items I have ever ordered as I really wanted to use this and out of the box it looked really good.In the box you get the Bluetooth to FM dock and various implements to put this on your dash of your car, and also a mini Jack to jack lead.First off all you have to do is plug the 12 volt socket in to your car, the lead then goes straight into the mobile phone holder.You then set a station on your FM radio that is not being used, and set a frequency that is unused.You then match the frequency on the Bluetooth to FM receiver and hey presto you now have Bluetooth working with your old FM radio. This is very simple to do.The actual unit worked flawlessly and although it’s not crystal clear it is very good because you can only get FM quality for this anyway.Now for the troublesome part, I can’t actually use this properly as the lead that you need to connect to the 12 volt socket is only one meter long,this means there is not enough lead to root it anywhere apart from the center of the dash and even then you have to have the lead or hanging around because there is not enough lead to tuck it away anywhere. This when does it completely useless for someone like me so I would have to mark it down as if I had bought this I would not be very happy as I would have to go and buy a 12 volt male to female extension lead.Also the Jack to jack lead is a bit useless as that is only about 30 centimeters long so this lead is also way too short.This Bluetooth FM receiver is actually a very good idea but I have no idea what the makers were thinking when they made the leads so short that they almost unusable.You cannot even use it as a fancy phone holder because the lead is always sticking out the bottom which means you would have to cut it off which would render the receiver useless.

Review: I am already familiar with Bluetooth / FM Transmitters, since I have been using them for my vehicle for the past year, and some have been good while others not so good. This particular model from the Magift brand is another level entirely. What makes this product unique is the fact that the Bluetooth / FM transmitter is literally built into the hands-free mobile device holder that attaches to your vehicle’s windshield, dashboard, or air vents. This is what I call good differentiation since everything that you need for your hands-free Bluetooth experience in your vehicle is included in this kit.This device is extremely well made, while it promotes its own longevity and durability through its intricate craftmanship. The device affixes itself flawlessly every time to my windshield, and it never falls or loses suction despite my regular treks through rough terrain. Pairing this device with my mobile phone is as simple as it is seamless. There is never an issue with connection, nor is there losing a signal during its operational hours.Another great feature of this device is its ability to filter out the alternator humming issue that plagues lesser quality models that are not able to remove that background sound. The only time I can detect it occurs when I literally have the volume cranked on my mobile phone, my car stereo, and this device itself, and even then it is barely detectable. This only occurs if I am listening to podcasts on iHeart Radio. When listening to music from iTunes, there is absolutely zero traces of that sound despite having my music and everything else cranked.The frequency range of this device begins at 88.1 and extends to 107.9. I do have other devices that begin in the 87.1 range, and that is convenient on account that most unoccupied FM signals in my vicinity can be found there. I was, however, happy to find a perfectly good unoccupied FM signal in the 107’s that has been working just fine, and I have never had any issues with neighboring stations crossing over and interfering with the signal that I have designated for my vehicle and this device.One other great feature is the fact that the buttons to control phone calls and device volume are literally built into the mobile device holder along with the Bluetooth / FM signal. It is so much simpler and safer to operate these buttons on this device as opposed to similar devices that plug directly into your vehicle’s A/C port and force you to look down when attempting to operate them.The only thing that I wish for this device would be for more charging ports since only a USB-C and USB-A input are available. Even still, The USB-C to Lightning cable connection to my mobile phone charges brilliantly no matter how many mobile apps that I have working at the same time. If my mobile phone begins at 100%, it literally remains at 100% during very long drives with multiple mobile apps rocking simultaneously.As it stands today, this product is being offered at a discount for a little over $25.00. There was also a coupon that can also be used during the purchase that I saw during my last check. My recommendation is to take the deal since this is a brilliant all-in-one kit that includes everything that you need to produce a hands-free, Bluetooth / FM experience in your vehicle. This is a product that will bring quality, convenience, and value to your investment more-so than most of the other brands that are out there. For me, this one is definitely a keeper.

Review: As a phone holder – it wasn’t hard to assemble it, the only drawback is that you need to leave it for at least 24 hours for suction cup to properly set in. That’s not a huge deal but something to keep in mid to give yourself time. It is very flexible in a way that position can be adjusted to each persons needs.As a charger – unfortunately this is not a wireless charger but you can charge 2 phones at the same time however, you need to have with you their respective charging cords. If they added wireless charging in addition to these two wired, it would be absolutely perfect.As a Bluetooth transmitter – took me a bit to set it up (mostly due to me not reading instructions) but it works pretty good although, sound quality is not that great. It uses a free frequency of the radio to transmit sound and I’ve noticed that volume is quite lower when connected this way vs my phone directly connecting to my car via Bluetooth.Overall, decent device that addresses more than one need and it works well for me.

Review: My car still has a CD player in it to give an idea of how old the sound system is. I’m not using this for my main phone that I use for navigation and have at eye level. This is for a secondary phone that has my music, podcasts, and books which I play to the side for road trips. One thing to notice is that depending on distance, one has to change the channel to get the best sound, but I’ve found a range that works with a radius of about 10 miles that’s most helpful. For longer trips, there are some ‘dead’ areas that I have yet to find a station that works best for this. This, lends me to believe that some people, depending on where they live, will not have much use for this in their home area and where they drive the most often. So, I give this 4 stars instead of 5 because the coverage area isn’t infinite.Sound quality: 4 StarsBluetooth connectivity: 4 StarsVolume control: 4 Stars
