Customers say

Customers like the quality and noise reduction of the earplugs. For example, they say they’re built for their purpose, block out sound really well, and completely stop water and sound from getting in. That said, some complain about the stickiness. Opinions are mixed on value, fit, comfort, and ease of use.

Title: Excellent
Review: I’ve been buying these for over a year now because they’re superior quality to all the ear plugs I’ve tried, tested and wasted money and time on. They’re also cheaper on amazon than anywhere else I’ve found. The only thing I don’t like about them is the addition of the aloe vera. The addition of aloe Vera was a mistake IMO – the plain ones ares best (but hard to find now) because the grip in your ears is 100% without aloe, as the aloe seems to make them slightly waxier. Some people might not have noticed a difference but I guess I have because I’ve been using them for so long now. The difference is probably negligible for some people but I think it’s important, as your ears always get slightly more moist with any ear plugs in, regardless – so maximum tack is crucial, so e.g. when sleeping, they stay in position much better for longer. Having said that, the grip is still excellent compared to any other ear plugs I’ve ever bought and these are definitely well worth the money. For hygiene reasons, I don’t reuse mine (I use mine through the night because l have a very noisy neighbour) but if you’re wearing them for a brief period, this is probably viable. You can roll these in to shape – I make mine cone shaped with a narrow point – then, to use time, I angle them from slight up above my ear canal is then gradually push them in. They take a bit of practice to use but, eventually this becomes second nature and the practise is well worth the effort (btw, the instructions say don’t push them deep in to the ear canal but at the same time, don’t leave them too far near the surface because they’ll just work their way loose if you’re asleep and then seem useless, if you do).

Title: Fantastic
Review: Having tried many types of earplug, these are the best by far. I would say they block 90% of noise. Great.

Title: More effective than I had expected.
Review: Another product I wish I had tried a long time ago. We have a cat that yowls in the middle of the night until I give up and get up, mainly because my Husband works and he needs to sleep whilst I can have a cat nap during the day if need be. Then someone mentioned why didn’t I try ear plugs but previously since I have a tendency for earache’s I was reluctant to place anything in my ears and certainly in the ear canal but these ones are intended to just be used in the outer ear. They’re like blobs of firm gelatine which when warmed up become softer and more mailable. You push them into place and seal up any little gaps and the better the seal the better the sound muting. They do work, they cut out about 80% of the noise and when the cat started his nightly “song of his people” I actually slept through it. I did hear his warbling but I think because I’d managed to get more into deep sleep plus the usual high pitched tone was muted I slept through it. What I didn’t sleep through was my Husband getting up and throwing a shoe at the cat, don;t worry he always misses, and so I ended up getting up in any cases. But now he’s using a pair himself, were hoping that if our cat learns that no warbling will wake us up he will give up.The only downside is hair and fluff do stick to it and they’re not going to be as long lasting as I had hoped for that price, but again we’re hoping in a few days/week/months the cat will finally shut up! I think to keep them not only lasting for longer but hygienic then every morning when I remove them I give them a quick warm wash and then use a touch of antibacterial hand gel and let them dry and so far they’re as good as new.

Title: Good noise blocker
Review: Great at keeping noise out. My husband’s snoring no longer bother me, because it’s now really quiet. Although it blocks out lots of noise (and I am sleeping much better), I can still hear my alarm go off in the morning, so no fear of sleeping in!The only downside is the stickiness of them. I do tie my hair back, but still wake up to some hair stuck to the ear plug.

Title: Not the best ones I’ve tried
Review: I’m currently trying out different types of earplugs for when I have to be up really early for work.. as it’s summer at the moment, and my window is always open, I tend to hear a lot of noise from passing traffic (my road can get pretty noisy and it comes off a main road), the house opposite me having their loud parties well into the early hours, as well as people shouting in the street etc. These are the second type I’ve tried so far and if I’ honest, the ones I’ve already tried (HOWARD LEIGHT LASER LITE Multi color foam earplugs) are better. It says you can use them up to 3 times, and I know that ‘up to’ doesn’t mean that you should or it’s recommended you do, but they seem to go a bit skanky when you’ve used them one night and go to use them again 24 hours later, as well as losing their stickiness quite a bit, so I’ve been using one per night. They are very big, so you have to squish it with your fingers and kind of mold it into a typical earplug shape before inserting and I soon found out that when you lift your head up from the pillow (if you’re on your side) part of it tends to stick to the bottom bit of your ear (I don’t know that bit of you ear’s called), near the earlobe, which I found pretty annoying. They did an OK job of keeping noise out (not as good a job as the ones I’ve previously used) but I could still hear the traffic outside pretty clearly, and by the morning they’d lost their stickiness quite a bit so they came out really easily (I know that’s better than getting them stuck in you ear but they pretty much fell out on their own, with very little persuading from my)I had to buy a few lots of them as they’re an ‘add on’ item so when I’ve used them up (no point in throwing them away and wasting money) I’ll be trying out a different set 🙂

Title: They also pull apart quite easily so you could get a bit stuck in your …
Review: My partner has severe sleep apnea and wears a cpap mask so ear plugs are important to me and I’ve become somewhat fussy. I’ve tested out many different ones and these are the ones so far. They go on the outside bit of the ear, not inside. The didn’t feel secure but I persevered anyway and they let in a bit more noise than my old ones (purple bullet shape ones). During the night they get warm so the wax starts to soften and one fell out, sticking to my hair in the process. I couldn’t get it off without pulling my hair out. They also pull apart quite easily so you could get a bit stuck in your ear. They leave a waxy residue on your hands when you have to roll them into a ball. There are much better cheap products on the market.
