Title: Decent especially for the price
Review: Needed a cheap and cheerful, one time use really, torque wrench to torque my wheel bolts.Ended up being pleasantly surprised by the quality and accuracy of this wrench, especially considering the price.It now has a forever home in my tool kit.

Title: Excellent for the price
Review: I’m impressed by the quality of this torque wrench. With a name like BINGCOBBER I didn’t have much hope – I expected it to be flimsy, inaccurate and cheap. I was wrong.The accuracy on this torque wrench is as you would expect. After double checking with my electric one after setting, I found that it’s usually 0.25-0.44nm out, which for most applications would be perfectly in tolerance.The wrench comes with a few attachments that I wouldn’t use if torque setting was mission critical, (extension), but could come in handy for the odd occasion where you would use this instead of a typical ratchet or wrench.Setting the torque limit is easy and the standard swivel handle method. Once the threshold is reached you get the satisfying, typical, click. This torque wrench also weighs a tonne to, as well as being a decent length – so I found myself hitting the ~120nm mark really quickly.For the price, you can’t go wrong. I’m really impressed with this product.

Title: A substantial bit of kit.
Review: This is a really heavy tool; I was expecting something much lighter considering the price point.The wrench is stored in a tough plastic case that keeps it well protected from a typical workshop environment. It comes with a 1/2â€ to 3/8â€ drive adapter and an extension bar. Thereâ€™s a calibration certificate and some not very good instructions. If youâ€™re not sure how to use the tool, Iâ€™d recommend looking at YouTube tutorials as the illustrations provided arenâ€™t very useful.I donâ€™t know how accurate the wrench is as I donâ€™t have anything to compare it against, but the presence of a calibration certificate must mean something, surely. The torque adjuster moves smoothly and can be locked in place with a knurled screw in the end of the handle.The handle is long which makes getting to the higher settings a lot easier. Thereâ€™s no mistaking when the correct torque is reached. The lever to change ratchet direction has plenty of travel and stays securely in place. The ratchet has 24 teeth so thereâ€™s a bit of slop in the head but as itâ€™s only going to be used to do the final tighten on bolts, this shouldnâ€™t matter.

Title: Budget tool for home use
Review: I’ve never heard of Bingcobber, but this feels like a heavy, solid tool.The quality of the finish is OK for a domestic tool and it feels pretty good in the hand, but it does not feel as good as a quality professional tool – though at this price you wouldn’t expect that.The wrench is supplied in a hard plastic case which protects its well, and comes with an adapter to allow different sized sockets to be attached.There is a calibration certificate included with the wrench, but although the certificate has a serial number printed on it the wrench itself does not so its not possibel to tie the certificate to the wrench. Similarly the certificate states what type of calibration equipment was used, but a certificate without an authorised authority named on it menas very little. I certainly wouldn’t be relying on this certificate to back me up in a professional situation should it turn out I’d over- or under- tightened something with this wrench.That said, for the money and for occassional home use this is a reasonable torque wrench. If you a bit careful you shouldn’t end up breaking anything if the calibration is a bit under, and if the calibration is a bit over and thing send up less tight than they should be then hopefully you’ve double checked things some other way anyway.One last observation, the higher the torque you require, the harder it is to turn the setting dial. That’s mabe normal, but it does mean setting the higher torque settings is almost impossible.

Title: Robust heavy piece of metal
Review: – The wrench appears robust, heavy and well built.- Adjustment is too tight – it becomes very stiff up as it progresses up the scale.- The clockwise torque settings appear to work. The counter-clockwise does not – it just seems to be locked solid. This would be a failing for left-hand threaded bolts.- Supplied adapter/sockets are not stamped with sizes – a disadvantage if mixed with other tools in useâ€¦- The head of the wrench does not have a quick release button for attachments – usually needed if well fitting. These are not well fitting and, depending upon the number of heavier attachment used, might have a tendency to drop off. This could be annoying, but could also, potentially, cause injury.- As is, it might serve as a limited, heavy duty, domestic use torque wrench, if used with care.- Probably not suitable for professional use.

Title: good, strong torque wrench
Review: A very useful 1/2 drive (with 1/4″ adapter) to have in your toolbox. If you are happy to pay more, there are better ones around, but for under Â£30, this is great value. The box, extension and adapter is a plus (although I use a high end brand normally)The ratchet is fairly basic with only 24 clicks on a complete rotation. It weighs in at 1.174kg and is roughly 42cm in length (depending on your torque setting).For a basic use wrench with some grunt for wheel nuts, suspension, etc. I found this to be just right for me.
