Title: Simple. Fast. Efficient wifi across all devices with great range.
Review: Great product. It is small and minimalistic. Can fit almost anywhere and looks elegant. Signal is good and works well for what I have at home. The range is effective. I can throttle kids devices so they don’t hog the bandwidth when I need it for work which is great. Simple set up. You need a switch if you want to link them all up via LAN cable to improve the back haul connection, they only have 1 lan port, thats Incase you need to connect multiple devises, but the wifi 6 hasn’t failed me so far. The app is great too, I love the GUI, shows which device is connected to each node. You can also dedicate devices to an individual node, I.e. tv to node 1 in lounge. So it won’t be searching Etc. The app does it all for you. Remote access. Seamless transfer of device across nodes when changing location in the house with no loss of signal, it’s really smart and detects when to switch node for optimum signal automatically. To install VPN you need to use a computer through browser. However once installed you can activate and deactivate from your device. This is helpful to gain access to media regions / work vpn quickly and remotely. All in all I highly recommend. It’s great value for money, reliable no glitch system, with no issues so far. All devices work and run well. You can add Alexa devices and they all connect smoothly from smart switch to CCTV. All in all I’m very pleased with my decision to purchase this over other devices.

Title: Easy setup and very reliable
Review: I purchased this Asus mesh setup as a 3-pack about 18 months ago attracted by its reasonable cost and WiFi6 capability and been really pleased with it. I originally used it with a Virgin Media Hub 3 that I ran in modem mode (sorting the VM config was more difficult than setting up the Asus mesh) but we now have BT Openreach so the Asus is running in PPPoE mode and plugs directly into the Openreach ONT (the little white box on the wall) so you dont even need the BT Smarthub which means a really quick and neat installation. We have a 4 bed house with solid internal walls, BT delivers 500MBps and we get 230MBps performance pretty much everywhere in the house and in our relatively small garden. The speed loss is probably the result of not having a dedicated wifi backhaul channel – although the Asus can be setup with a wired backhaul if you can be bothered to run some cables. If i had a slower internet feed i suspect the % speed loss would be much lower. I like that the system is easy to setup and the Asus app is quite good and useful to be able to monitor (and if necessary reboot) the system remotely. The units themselves are incredibly neat and you can switch off the indicator lights too if you want to. It has proven ultra reliable. When running with VM we had a few VM outages after which on a couple of occasions I had to switch the Asus units off then on again to reboot the system. Running with BT it hasn’t missed a beat. If I was buying again, given my experience, I might be tempted to pay a bit more for the Asus XT9 which has a dedicated backhaul but just how much better the performance would be I’m not sure. Certainly can’t see any reason to upgrade from these tiny little cubes, their size belies their performance and capabilities.

Title: Ist Venture into MESH wiFi
Review: When my long serving and ancient ASUS router eventually expired I was pleased to find this system with the familiar user interface. With a hard wired network around my house I am able to take advantage of the wired backhaul facility which is a must for this two band Mesh system. Each satellite is hard wired via a network switch. Very easy to set up and transfer portfwarding from old router. Early days yet but it is giving a stable and strong WiFi signal throughout the house.

Title: Simple Setup and Improved WiFi
Review: Having had issues with the provider supplied WiFi router for some time I started looking at replacements. We had been getting poor speeds and signal drops around our house with streaming and Teams calls struggling even though we have full fibre 500mb to the house.I settled on this product and instantly resolved our issues. Opening the box I was treated with small asthetically appealling cubes. All cable and wall mounting kit was included. Setup was very simple using the Asus app. The only thing that took a little time was looking up the Sky Broadband settings to allow me to connect directly without the need of the original router. This for me was important as allowed me to turn on the QoS setting which is so simple and has made a massive difference with streaming and video calls.The app allows you to click Optimise and it will automatically sort all the connections out and ensure the best performance. The parental controls have been great and simple to activate to keeps our kids safe too.All in all would highly recommend as used to have 40mb in some areas of the house and problems with juddering. Now we have 300mb around the house and no juddering.

Review: Using a 1gigabit connection, this outputs almost all of it. getting around 800 right beside, and then if you go downstairs, 4 rooms after, it hangs around 150-250 depending if you hit the spot. very nice, great success!

Title: Asus XD4 AX1800 meshes great!
Review: It was a very simple process of plugging in the power supply (A UK pin 240v slide on adapter included) and powering up the XD4 AX1800 cube. I opened the Asus router app on my phone, which was already connected to my existing asus router wifi and added I added another mesh node device. The app found the XD AX 1800 cube within a few seconds and I added it to my router network which took about 5 minutes to auto configure itself including optimising the mesh system. I then went into router firmware update menu in the app, did a device search, which found new firmware for the XD4 AX 1800 cube. I downloaded and installed the latest firmware version, then rebooted the cube. The wifi signal from the cube has excellent range for both 2.4G and 5G and it meshes with my existing Asus router perfectly.

Review: Lo quería para amplificar la red Wifi de mi casa, pero lo único que hace es crear otra nueva y tengo entendido por lo que he hablado con algunos informáticos, que sí que se puede amplificar pero es súper complicado y necesitas de pagar a un técnico para ello.Después, optamos por la alternativa de que se crease la nueva red sin ningún problema, y simplemente moverlo de lugar y ponerlo en alguna otra zona de la casa pero oh sorpresa: el dispositivo dejaba de funcionar cuando se desconrctaba, ya que al parecer, necesita de estar conectado al router del Wifi para que de esta manera se crease la nueva red porque de lo contrario, la red dejaba de funcionar y directamente ya no aparecía.¿Para qué quiero yo un amplificador de red si no lo voy a poder mover de lugar y va a necesitar de estar pegado al router principal del Wifi?, ¿Qué sentido tiene esto si la señal se va a seguir mandando desde el mismo punto y va a seguir siendo poco estable en las zonas lejanas al router principal?

Review: Los he usado en una casa super grande, y hay un truquete para que funcionen los dos conectados por cable, la función inicial es que el esclavo se conecta via wifi al primario, usando un truco te permite que ambos tengan conexión por cable, y así crear una malla real. En esta casa en concreto tuve que comprar otros 2 y enlazarlos sin problema (siendo iguales, no hay que buscar esclavos, puedes pedir 2 paquetes de 2 y funcionan).

L’installation est très simple, il suffit de suivre les instructions de l’application ASUS Router sur son smartphone. L’application est également très complète, elle permet de gérer les paramètres du réseau, les contrôles parentaux, la sécurité, etc. Le système supporte le Wi-Fi 6, la dernière norme sans fil qui offre des débits plus élevés, une meilleure stabilité et une meilleure efficacité énergétique. Le système délivre un débit théorique cumulé de 1800 Mb/s, réparti sur deux bandes de fréquences, 2,4 GHz et 5 GHz. Le système utilise la bande de 5 GHz pour communiquer entre les modules, ce qui garantit une bonne performance du réseau. Le système dispose également d’un port Ethernet Gigabit sur chaque module, ce qui permet de connecter des appareils filaires si besoin. Le design du système est sobre et élégant, les modules sont compacts et discrets. Ils se fondent facilement dans le décor. Le système est doté d’un voyant LED qui indique l’état du réseau.
