Title: Resizable BAR is very important
Review: I’ve got two of these in a SFF case under Proxmox each dedicated to it’s own Windows VM. You only get half FPS if you don’t switch on Resizable BAR in the BIOS. They game pretty well, two gaming machine in one case.

Title: Does not work with older computers
Review: This graphic card did not work with an old Dell Optiplex SFF I was trying to upgrade.In terms of size and power usage, this card seemed perfect. When I installed it onto my PC, it fit correctly and my PC booted up fine, everything looked extremely promising until I tried to install the drivers. The drivers installation froze and caused the graphics card to become unresponsive. I tried this multiple times by booting into safe mode and reinstalling different versions of the driver, but to no success. Upon further investigation I learnt that older CPU and motherboards may not be supported. This was a real shame as I thought I had found my perfect GPU.

Review: Out of this box this card isn’t ready to go for gaming, it’s just not. This card is 100% powered by the PCIE slot and it is handicapped with a 45w power limit. There is little performance to gain by using ARC’s proprietary control panel because the card already hits 45w on stock settings. Whenever you increase the clock speed it’s going to hit that 45w limit and downclock. It’s obviously power limited.You can unlock the power on this card to hit a maximum of 75w, and when you do so it flies. Make sure resizable bar is on otherwise you should NOT buy this card. Provided the power limit is unlocked and reBAR is on, you can overclock this card for serious gains.I gained over 1000 points on my timespy score by unlocking the power and overclocking the core by 40% beating the average Timespy score for all a380’s by 300 points. So you absolutely can get this little low-profile card competing with full-slot a380’s easily.I decided to take things further and upgrade the thermal conductivity with better vram pads and ptm7950 on the core. This allows me to push the card harder and keep the temperature around 80c.After this card is tuned up, it’s amazing what it can do. I’m playing plenty of games in 4k Low settings with Xess or FSR on quality mode. That shouldn’t be possible but it is. This card is great, just do some googling and be ready to take a day to tune it up.

Leider kann ich in meinem BIOS die Funktion rBar (Die “Resizable BAR” (Base Address Register) ist eine PCIe-Funktion. Dies ist ein Mechanismus, der es dem PCIe-Gerät, z. B. einer separaten Grafikkarte, ermöglicht, die BAR-Größe zu verwenden, um Systemressourcen zu optimieren. Die Aktivierung dieser Funktionalität kann zu einer Leistungsverbesserung führen.) nicht aktivieren. Deshalb darauf achten, dass das verwendete Mainboard diese Funktion hat, und dieses auch aktiviert ist, denn sonst kann die Karte nicht die volle Leistung bringen !
