Title: Super little device
Review: Bought two of these now (one for my mother-in-law) and we are very happy with them. Firstly I like the design which looks neat and high tech. Installation and set up was easy although there were few quirks learnt along the way. If you have the patience reading the full manual is very worthwhile as the camera is quite complex.I had to change SSID twice and the routine in the app never worked – both times I had to remove the device from the app and reinstall.The audio trigger goes off every few seconds when it is windy so we had to deactivate that feature – tricky to find how to do that in the section on Modes.To avoid having to recharge the battery (and there are issues about how often this is needed) you need to add either outdoor charging cable or the solar panel. Early days but the Solar panel seems to work very well.

Title: Great floodlight and camera combo
Review: Working this review after 21 months of use. The quality and sensor is pretty good. Battery life was our main concern, which hadnâ€™t been a problem ; charging every 6-8 months. Obviously charge rate depends upon how much itâ€™s armed and triggered. Battery longevity also varies ever so slightly by outdoor temperatures. On the very odd and rare occasions (approximately 2/3), the camera has been covered by dew.The camera quality and range is really clear. You can also use the intercom to speak if needed. Whatâ€™s great is that you can set your own trigger zones (handy for neighbouring fence lines). I only have one critiquÃ©, the time lag on a person being captured in a zone to the alert on your phone could/should be far quicker. The delay is significant enough that if you were wanting to interrupt an intruder you may be a little late. However, the delay hasnâ€™t put me off the device and quality as this can be improved in software updates. Subsequent, I have gone onto purchase a second device.Other reason for picking this brand over others was to do with secure service (so far!!), one other brand available to purchase via this platform has had breaches.Hope this review helps you make your own personal home security decision.

Title: Great hardware let down by subscription fees
Review: This is my second floodlight camera to add to my existing set up.I am currently using a set up comprising of some older Pro 2 with a base station and these.Over the years I have had stability issues with the app but it is now as stable as it gets. Thatâ€™s not to say I havenâ€™t had to restart the base station when it loses pairing with the odd camera randomly.By comparison to the pro 2 cameras the 2k video images are much better with the floodlight cameras and the ability to track moving objects is good albeit at the cost of image quality.This time Iâ€™ve chosen black colour as it is more discrete.I do find Arlo cameras lenses are too wide and cover too large an area and I do find the cloud based recording fees nothing short of extortion which is a real shame as I cannot afford to pay for CVR or multiple camera packages that others offer for free.

Title: DO NOT BUY IT LEAKS.
Review: I purchased the Arlo 3 in Nov 2020 and installed it the following spring. It recently stopped working, with a default message saying there is a battery issue. I looked up the price of a battery replacement but was puzzled why I needed to replace the battery as it is connected to a charge cable at all times. I decided to take the camera off the wall and inspect the battery, the first time I had done this since it was installed. I was horrified to find water droplets were inside and the three terminals had gone rusty. I took a photo and then as I tried to put the camera back, one of the terminals broke so now I have a camera that will never work. I am not happy that it should have let in water! The camera is in exactly the same condition as when I purchased it. Amazon are not interested and Arlo just said buy another camera. Arlo has appalling reviews on Trust Pilot. I would never buy their product again and i have noticed that their charges for storage go up every year well above inflation!

Title: Very good camera and floodlight
Review: I wanted a light on the side of the house and have Arlo cameras anyway and so I tried this and I think it is very good, and the light is excellent even just on battery.I have solar panels on both, ( I bought a second one because I was impressed), and at the moment they stay at 100% with the fairly sunny days, however winter they will need recharging if in a busy area, but I have purchased an outdoor magnetic charging cable that will make this easy, otherwise you have to separate the camera from the housing to charge and this would be a pain.One slight problem is an intermittent noise that comes over the feed when live and on recordings which is annoying. It doesnâ€™t happen every time so hopefully firmware updates sort it out.I can live with it just, but some may find it too much annoyance , so hope to be fixed in future.I do recommend these cameras when paired with solar panels and am glad I bought them.

Title: Generally acceptable, but an expensive choice.
Review: It works better with cloud service (separate subscription), the hub requires VPN setup to access recordings from outside the home network, although live streaming is possible without that.Worthy to note is the life of battery, which lasted for almost 6 months for the first charge, 3 months on second charge, then gradually degrading.
