Title: Poor quality – holes in pillow case after one wash
Review: Bought this because we’d had a similar product from the same manufacturer, after one wash the pillow case had split on the seem in 2 places & there was a hole in the material that was not on a seem (1.5″ hole), overall REALLY disappointed.

Title: Mauve duvet cover set
Review: I liked the design and colours of this bedding set, having planned a mauve and pink colour scheme for my bedroom. However I am a little disappointed on receipt. I don’t think it’s as attractive as the picture online. However I will continue to add other decorative items to complete the overall look of my room and am hopeful it will look good.
The bedding is very soft to touch, has washed well and is excellent value for money. It is lightweight and easy to use.

Review: Not the cheapest duvet set in the soft brushed cotton section but this set is super soft.
Washes well, muted colours.
These are the positives.
Only gave 4 stars because it creases a lot upon washing and the buttons are too small for the holes so they slip out a lot and need constant refastening.

Review: This arrived today. I was surprised that the fabric is actually a flannel material (or “brushed cotton” as the label says) instead of the cool, thin cotton fabric that another Appletree 100% cotton duvet is that I have in a similar design but different color scheme. So I am disappointed that this fabric is a warmer flannel material because I was wanting the same cooling, thin cotton fabric as my other duvet is, to help keep me cool at night. I fear this flannel fabric is going to be too warm for summer. 🙁 Also, I think the green color design does not look quite as nice in reality as it does in the photos. In the photos, it looks like there is some blue and aqua tones along with the green, but in reality, the duvet cover does not really have any shades of blue or aqua in it. It’s mainly just different shades of greens and cream white. However, thankfully, it does seem to go well with the “spa blue” and light aqua and teal colors in my bedroom (curtains, etc.). So I’m glad it matches those colors well. I noticed that one side of the cover is darker than the other. I think the lighter side is shown in the photos here. The label on it says it should be washed at max 40 C, which is a shame because people with dust allergies like me need to wash their bedding at 60 C to kill dust mites. But oh well. I washed it at 40 C and then hung it to dry and it washed up very nicely and is very soft. I think it’s better to hang dry it because that prevents it from shrinking (because 100% cotton will normally shrink in the dryer). Also, hanging it to dry seems to help prevent wrinkles more than the dryer does, with this kind of material. Overall, I am quite pleased with the duvet cover. It is a very calming and modern design that helps my bedroom feel more calming and spacious. My only complaint is that the fabric is more like a flannel fabric than a thin cooling cotton, but because I like the colors and the design, I’ve decided to keep it. 🙂
