Title: Easily the best camera for the price. Great quality footage, decent battery life and quick to use.
Review: So I haven’t long had my camera so I haven’t given it a proper thrashing yet. But, so far so good with it. And I reckon you wont find better for the price.1) IMAGE QUALITY: The video and picture quality is pretty impressive. It is also true 4k quality at 30fps meaning it actually records in 4k, unlike slightly lower priced so called “4k” cameras like Apeman which record in 1080p and then digitally enhance to 4k which doesn’t work to well when you go faster than walking. The image stabilization is also very impressive. I bought this because I ride a motorbike and do packrafting so I was expecting loads of lag and frame jumps, but it actually does really well in providing a stable smooth image. Again, you wont get go-pro perfect quality, the same way you wont get ferarri speed and build quality with an Audi. But like with Audi you still get really good quality. Its still very impressive videos, perfect for vloggers, youtube artists or people like me just starting out and want to record their advenutres. Oh and you can attach an external mic, but not when the waterproof case is on.2) BUILD: A few reviews seem to suggest that it feels light weight and plasticy but I disagree. Firstly you don’t want it to be heavy!! Secondly it’s actually not a bad feel, yes plasticy but it is made out of injection moulded plastic, and still seems sturdy. Plus it comes with the protective waterproof case, which not only makes it waterproof but also adds an addtional layer of protect. And the advantage is the waterproof case doesn’t add much on to the size either. Also bare in mind it is not waterproof or considered splashproof without the case so unless you live somewhere it doesn’t rain (im in the North of the UK so it does…. A lot!) then i’d advise basically leaving it in the case.3)BATTERY: The battery life is decent, between 60-90mins per battery (it comes with 2), depending on what settings you are using (same with any action camera). Mine usually lasts around the 90 minute mark as I make sure things like voice command, wifi and other things are turned off. Plus buying addtional batteries are cheap enough and they are nice, small and easy to store.4)ACCESSORIES: it comes with loads of accessories, most for attaching to things like bike handlebars, helmets etc, but it also inclduing a handy wrist handy remote with large enough buttons that, for example you are wearing motorbike gloves, they are easy to push when you want to start and stop a video or photo. And if like me you have your camera on the front of your packraft then you dont need to climb over to start and stop it. As mentioned it also comes with the waterproof case, and a spare door for it just in case.5)DOWNSIDES: In all honesty there are almost none. Yes they could have provided 60fps in 4k, but this would have most likely involved production cost increase resulting in a price increase. The same can be said if they’d put thin protective rubber coating to make it feel nicer or made it IP67 without the case. However my only 2 gripes, is the battery door hinge feels a little flimsy. When it is closed it is fine, but you wouldn’t want to knock or drop it when the door is open as it feels like it would easily snap the door off. So just be careful when changing batteries. Also I damaged my waterproof case (sadly not something the spare door could fix), and finding a replacement for the brave 6 pro seems to be proving very difficult. However I emailed AKASO and they are trying to source me a replacement. Most other action cameras have stolen the gopro design so you can use the gopro case. Where as the brave 6 pro has a different button configuration so the replacment case can be hard to find since you can only use a specific brave 6 pro one. This is definetly a problem for me since I go near water a lot.

Title: Excellent value for money.
Review:  I researched a lot of cameras before choosing the AKASO Brave 6 Plus. I spent hours reading reviews and watching YouTube videos comparing different cameras. After comparing GoPros with AKASOs, AKASOs with AKASOs and AKASOs with other budget cameras on Amazon, I went with this one.I’m happy with my choice.- The camera is well made. It feels far more expensive than it is. With the waterproof casing on, it feels like it can handle a bash. I can confirm the case is waterproof too. No problems being used in water.- The video quality (which is the main reason for getting an action cam in the first place) is great. I shoot in 1080p rather than 4K and I’m always happy with the results.- Stabilisation is about as good as you can expect for a camera in this range.- It records sound well, even in the waterproof casing, which didn’t seem to be the case with other cameras.- Battery life is great (it comes with a spare battery in the box, which is handy). Not sure how long you get off a full charge, because I haven’t let it go dead yet. But an hour solid of shooting didn’t seem to make a huge dent in battery life.- The menu on the camera is easy to use. Though the AKASO app could do with some work. Connecting via WIFI isn’t always straightforward and the connection often drops out. – Finally, you get all sorts of mounts and accessories in the box. All of which are well made. I never feel like an attachment is going to break or the camera is going to come loose. Just make sure to use the included spanner to get a tight connection. All in all, I’m well happy. If you want solid performance without shelling out a fortune, I’d say this camera is a safe bet.

Title: Good in many aspects except to film at night
Review: I watched a bunch of reviews on YouTube before making my decision. I’m happy overall with the camera. The stabilisation works good. You get the most needed accessories. Though there are 2 cons to be considered, in my opinion. One of them is that the mic sensitivity is not good enough and this results in low volume sound. For me that’s okay. I was aware about that after watching some reviews. The other problem, which I consider a big issue as I’m using the camera over my helmet, is that Brave 6 is very bad recording in low light scenes. Anyway I think it’s worth the money spent.

Review: I’m not an avid adventurer but I do like to take short videos and pictures of a lot of the outdoor activities I participate in. I’ve been looking at action cameras for some time and have been turned off by the price. I really like the GO Pro Hero 5 but just couldn’t justify the cost for what I would use it for.So, I started looking at the lower cost devices on Amazon and other various sources and I came across the Akaso Brave 6. It seemed to have some very good reviews, so I figured I’d give it a try. I’m glad I did. It’s about half the cost of a Go Pro but comes loaded with extras that you end up paying more for with a Go Pro.Overall build quality seems very good. The camera is a bit light weight, but in the case, it has a solid feel to it. The quality of the multitude of accessories seems good as well and they feel durable enough for what I will be using them for.Set-up was easy. I charged both batteries with the included two slot battery charger. They charged pretty quickly. Then put one of the batteries in the camera and started it up. I initially got a SD card error but was finally able to get the camera to format it correctly. After playing with the various settings and adjusting them to my liking, I decided to take the camera out for a test drive. Image capture was quite easy and the 20MP images seem sharp and clear. I don’t have any 4k equipment so I set video quality to 1080 60 fps and video quality seems to be very sharp. Colors look good in both the photos and the videos. The included wrist strap remote is an excellent addition, especially when I use the Brave 6 on my kayak. It’s mounted a little too far out of reach so I can simply use the remote to take the pictures or videos. Definitely a plus.Like I mentioned the kit came with a bunch of mounting hardware and accessories so I was able to set up a similar mount on my wife’s kayak in case she wanted to use the camera. There is also a handlebar mount for mounting it on my bike.My only complaint is the app that Akaso uses to link up with the camera. Its crap and the reviews point that out. It crashes frequently on both my iPhone 11 Pro Max and my Google Pixel 3XL, both running up to date operating systems. Devs definitely need to work out the bugs. So, after a few hours of playing with the Brave 6, I can say it’s a good, low cost alternative to the GoPro, especially for the casual user like me.I’ll update my review from time to time during the long term use.

Review: I loved this camera, as it suited my needs very well. It was quite easy to connect to devices, and was able to capture high resolution shots of both videos and photos. It came with 2 batteries, which lasted long. The user interface was very simple, and everything was well spaced. It also feels solid, like other cameras such as Go Pros. I believe that this product was well worth it for its low cost.
