Title: Does the job
Review: Got this for putting moisture in the air for my birds. Works really well and birds seem to like the change of air in the room. The only downside is the surface it stands on gets water pools so would advise that it’s placed on a suitable surface and keep a cloth for wiping nearby. Other than that, it’s quiet, has a large capacity water tank and does the job.

Review: To the best of my knowledge and certainly from personal experience high humidity is a bigger problem than dry air in UK homes. The last thing that anyone who has an environment that is too dry would want is to go to the other extreme and encourage high humidity and along with it condensation and damp. Last night the humidity in my bedroom, prior to me going to bed, was 50%; which is said to be the ideal level. When I woke this morning the humidity was 78%. The window is always cracked open for ventilation, yet this morning condensation had formed on the window. The only thing in the room that could have added extra moisture to the room was me. Me breathing.Enter the K15 humidifier. It’s described as being for use at night (amongst other things). My question is: in view of my findings above wouldn’t the use of this humidifier exacerbate damp problems in most bedrooms? Doesn’t the same thing apply to most other rooms in the average house?Now, moving on. This humidifier does as it says and it does it efficiently. However, once switched on, it pumps moisture into a room regardless of whether it is needed or what level of humidity is in the room. Okay, it has the capacity to measure the moisture level-but does nothing about it! If you let it, it would carry on pumping out water till the humidity level was 100%-and still keep going.I know I’m being long winded, but I’m coming to the point of my ramble. As the unit has a sensor surely it could be switched to turn off at a user set level of humidity? Say, 50%? I know this is a relatively cheap unit and I shouldn’t expect too much, but surely a humidifier that can’t be regulated could cause more problems that it might solve?To summarise. It does what it’s designed to do. It’s pleasant looking and well made, but do I recommend it? Yes, if a prospective buyer is aware of the issues that might (and I stress might) occur, then I recommend this Rikmody humidifier.
