Title: Holds the dust in well
Review: This was worth the money. It has saved me and the room being covered in dust. Had to chase out several walls ready for the electrics so this was life saver. When you first use the grinder there is a little dust that flies out but when it’s flush against the wall and the Hoover is attached and on it holds the dust in. The hoover adapter could be better as this kept sliding off at times but you could attached a tie clip to hold it in place. Definitely so pleased I found this item. Such a good idea

Title: Handy tool for DIY
Review: It works. A bit of a field to set up but it makes the job clean and accurate and fast when cutting masonary to depth for a pipe chase and when chasing out old pointing for replacement. It is plastic so DIY not pro if you need thatbuy a metal one at £100.

Title: Not fit for purpose – not for me, at least
Review: I had high hopes but it didn’t fit my Erbauer ERB386GRD. Well, it did, but not well enough to feel safe in going outside and using it. It’s a good concept and seems well made but as others have said, there are too many eccentricities to be fully practical/functional.1) The mix of collar sizes are good, but when the metal collar is tightened up around them, they can still shift.2) The metal tightening collar on my example wasn’t welded at 90º to the plate, meaning it reduced the blade clearance because the blade wasn’t parallel to the shroud.3) The use of bolts with thumb turns is nice until you realise it reduces the clearance to the grinder body, also limiting the mounting positions possible.4) There seemed to be only one way to get it to ‘fit’ my grinder and that was at 90º, with one thumb turn bolt removed, and the blade about 3mm away from the inside of the shroud.5) The metal flange pad sits on top of the one already provided with your grinder. That moves the blade away from the plastic shroud but gives less room to tighten the flange up when the blade goes on. The included spanner had pins slightly wider than the Erbauer flange, making it harder to tighten.I’ve returned it because it didn’t feel safe or secure enough to use. That’s not to say it won’t fit your angle grinder if it’s the same make/model someone else has had success with.

Title: Poor quality mounting screws
Review: Product works well with holes taped over. Like a couple of reviews, mounting bolts were an issue. One mounting bolt was really, really tight but moved eventually, the other was impossible to remove and just rounded out without moving at all. The product design means that its it’s difficult to get any other tools around the bolt if it gets damaged. I tried loads of things without success and finally I had to fit the product by using just one bolt and bending the mount – this might not work for everyone though.

Review: OK , I like this tool. I often have to cut old 5/8″ thick stucco over lath and wire mesh inside houses.This tool is not perfect however it makes the job just a miserable moderately dusty project. I like the adjustable depth of cut since I often make a first cut about 1/4″ deepI made slight modifications to the tool1) the mounting clamp diameter was not big enough. I replaced of the clamp screws with a longer 8-32 screw.2) after mounting the diamond wheel I taped over the wrench access hole in the side of the grinder to improve the vacuum.I have as shopvac directly connected to the tool, if I can find an old vacuum cleaner hose I’m going to make that connection permanent.I have noticed that I get better dust pickup when I am pushing the grinder forward than when I am pulling it back. I can see why , it’s an airflow thing.One other suggestion , always blow out your grinder to remove dust after using with this appliance. Stucco, drywall and cement dust is very abrasive ,gets in everywhere and kills good tools

Would recommend this to any one who wants an easy life.The accessory pack that comes with it allowed me to attach it to my Dewalt battery grinder and also a 240 V Makita grinder with the minimum fuss.

Review: Bought it for my cordless Metabo angle grinder to chase the wall for electrical installation. A bit fiddly to fit as I had to remove the locking device on my machine & original dust hood but does work reasonably well. It is however not compatible with my Fein cordless grinder. If you have a lot of chasing to do, it’s a cheap alternative to branded accessories provided it fits your machine. It does come with several plastic & one metal thickness rings ( reducers to go around the neck of the machine). One screw on the hood had to be replaced with a shorter one as it fouled installation. A good value for money item.
