Review: I bought these after a very long search and after receiving reassuring answers from nice people here, as round-nose pliers for jewelry makingAlthough they don’t look the same in the down part of the jaws, they do the same job. They taper from 1.1mm (0.043″) to 5mm (0.197″).Their size is comfortable in my regular/small (female) hand.They are beautiful and well made. Worth the money.Just received them recently. Tried them only with very soft and thin wire.

Review: These pliers are very nicely made overall. The tips line up perfectly and are of equal dimensions. My gripe is that the inner surfaces of the jaws are pitted, which is inexcusable for highly polished pliers at this price point. I don’t believe the pitting is from rust forming after manufacture. It looks more to me like a QC issue. Whoever assembled these pliers either didn’t finish the polishing job or didn’t care enough about what they were doing to toss these in the reject pile. The pitting is black and very noticeable. What happened to Knipex QC? I have about a dozen other Knipex pliers and cutters for electronics work and they are all first rate in quality and functionality. This one is definitely not typical of the brand.
