Title: Saved me purchasing a new laptop
Review: What an improvement. I was sceptical about purchasing and installing this SSD. However, I went ahead and how pleased I was with my decision. Physically the installation with the Kit was so easy plus the included case allows me to use the replaced HDD as an external drive. However, I was unable to use the recommended software to clone my existing OS to the SSD. For some reason, even unknown to Kingston support, after many hours of trying I couldn’t clone the OS, so I then used a free app. from the internet and that went like a breeze (hence my 4 star rating for installation). But that aside I am really pleased with the increased speed this SSD has made to my laptop making it usable for some time to come. If you have a PC with a HHD and is slow I have no hesitation in recommending this reasonably priced SSD to speed up your system.

Title: Genuine item at a competitive price
Review: My laptop was really slow and taking ages to boot up. I was thinking of getting a new one or taking it into the service centre for an upgrade but after a bit of research online and watching some very helpful videos on YouTube I concluded I could do it myself. This one on Amazon was a better price than going direct to Kingston for exactly the same thing with the added advantage of prime delivery. Instructions are clear and easy to follow but the procedure for downloading and activating the cloning software is a bit convoluted. Provided you have confidence enough to take the back cover off your laptop you will be able to do this. Everything worked as advertised and my laptop is now much faster and more responsive.

Title: Good Drive, but it doesn’t come with screws.
Review: My OS drive is weeks away from failure so I went ahead to buy one of these for replacing it. It isn’t a refurbished drive like a lot of other drives being sold on here, but it doesn’t come with screws so I had to find some for it when installing it.When it came to installing windows on it the seller says it’s ready to go, but I had to manually format this drive using my current OS before I was able to install a fresh Windows installation onto the drive as it wasn’t being recognized by the installer.All is well now and it seems to be working well. I’ll update this review if it does start to cause issues though and I’ll mark down dates of when the issues occur to compare it to when I bought it.

Review:  Firstly I’d like to say I was skeptic about the tech details when I read it would reach 15x faster than HDD.It was the reason why I bought this SDD as 252GB.Well, I must say I’m really impressed and it surely is the most well performed upgrade I have been done. I’m saying honestly.At some point I decided record this video to help other people to see exactly what expect for this KIGSTON Sdd.Before I decided changing the Hd for one SDD I watched so many videos at YouTube, comparing the performances and I still was skeptics and I was wondering why not change this laptop.As you will see, it’s true what they say. The performance is now fabulous. The value of money is a bargain comparing to the result you will reach.I do recommend

Title: Cloning software specific steps!
Review: The SSD has transformed my laptop from a very slow HDD one a speedy one! Really pleased. However, I am writing the review to advise others how to install the cloning software because it’s simple (when you know how) but not as as advertised.First, I had to log in and set up an account via the Acronis website (username, email etc.) This is really important because the Kingston product key will not give you access to the Acronis True Image software. Next register the purchase using the Kingston product key on the Acronis website. Only then install the cloning software link provided from Kingston. Importantly, the product key needed for activation is the Acronis code which appears in the products section of your Acronis account once you’ve registered (it is a longer code). From then on no problems.I am really pleased with the results.

Title: My old laptop now competes with faster speed and performance with it
Review: This SSD drive should have been industry standard for long time. For example, HDD in laptops are the cause of slowing in performance. After installing this with fresh Windows 10, this old laptop is now much faster than my Intel i7 Dell laptop and for which I am planning to do the same.Working with SSD installed in laptop feels like driving computer at high speed and performance. It makes life a little bit easier by saving hours of waiting with old HDD.

Review: Been upgrading an old T420, this was a nice cheap drop-in that gave it plenty of storage. Be warned that there are faster and better SSD’s out there (the main drive i’m using is a samsung 850, which twice as fast), but this is a great balance of cheap and fast-enough. And at any rate, it’s far better than a spinning platter drive.Benchmarked at 261MB/s on Mint’s built-in disk benchmark tool, on the t420 in question itself.
