Due to its battery-powered design, the camera doesn’t support 24/7 continuous recording. It activates recording only when motion is detected. The Aosu homebase’s 32GB local storage enables loop recording for 120 days with 2 cameras.
Does it support 2.4Ghz/5Ghz dual band WiFi?
During setup, the homebase works with both 2.4Ghz and 5Ghz WiFi routers. Connecting it to the router via Ethernet allows the cameras to transmit signals from the homebase, providing wider coverage and a stable connection.
How efficient is the solar panel for charging?
Cameras can operate all day after just 2 hours of direct sunlight charging. For best efficiency, position the solar panel in direct sunlight. The panel’s charging cable is 3m/10ft long for flexible installation.
Can I use the homebase for other Aosu cameras? Is it compatible with Apple HomeKit?
The Aosu homebase currently supports up to 4 cameras of the same model, not other Aosu products. These cameras are compatible with Alexa and Google Assistant. Support for Apple HomeKit is still in development, so stay tuned for updates.

Title: Does what I hoped
Review: Fitted one of these after an incident with our car. From the sales pitch it met a number of requirements – no need to connect to a cloud provider (Although its optional), no need to drill holes in the wall and run cables etc and a lot of positive reviewsThese were easy and quick to set up, everything worked first time as per the instructions. No need to call the Customer Help LineWiFi coverage seems good – moved the hub unit a few times to find the best balance of the signal strength between the front and back of the house but once done has remained strongI charged the cameras once at the beginning via a USB power supply and since then they’ve sat at 100% even with the longer eveningsVery easy to install outside given the solar panel – took longer to get the ladder out that putting them up. Coverage is good so there’s a level of flexibility in locationBarely adjusted the settings for motion etc etc – seems good enough to catch almost everything although we know it’s missed a few callers or people leaving the house for some reason – but we’re happy with this. we get some false detection in the rear from we think bushes moving but again I’d rather that than being to insensitiveClearing data from the hub is a little manual and repetitive but that’s about the only UI issue we’d comment could be improved so farNotifications via the app are very fast – its detects someone coming down the path and we generally get the notification before they’ve knocked on the doorSo ~ 2 months in – pretty happy. Performance and capability has met requirements so far, and reliable and easy to use, for an acceptable price

Title: Better Than Most
Review: Excellent – easy to install, easy to set up and does everything it is supposed to do. Instructions leave a lot to be desired regarding grammar and spelling but the greatest plus is NO subscription.Update – unfortunately one of the cameras disconnected itself from my wi fi and nothing would tempt it to reset.However AOSU were easy to contact and extremely helpful, when again all failed to get the camera to connect AOSU sent a replacement FOC. Although I initially failed to install the camera AOSU again came to the rescue with very clear instructions and the camera was installed satisfactory within minutes. Service that would be very welcome from a lot of other companies.

Title: So far, so good
Review: I’m always sceptical when it comes to little known brands (at least to me) and security cameras. The fact the market has boomed quite a lot with lots of typically mass manufactured cameras that then have the brand put on them (this is typically the way some of the factories work if you look into the Chinese manufacturing process.) It can be hard to find reliable or good products that won’t leave you requiring to buy more.Aosu have seemingly went to the more higher end of product quality here and provided you with everything necessary to have a somewhat decent security set-up.Straight out of the box, everything feels of a good quality. The products have seemingly had a bit of thought put into them. From little things like the rubber bung for the cable being on the underneath. This bung also has 2 ribs to prevent more water from getting in. This is also translated across to the USB C cable. The connector actually has 2 ribs on to fit into the area the bungs would go. Providing a good seal all round and an extra bit of protection in the event of any liquid getting up there. There’s even a line and an arrow on the cable showing you where it should go up to to know that it’s fully inserted. A nice small addition that just shows a bit more thought and care has went into it.Once everything is together and up. The set up process is pretty easy. The fact they have their own app instead of using a general one that can be hit or miss does give me a little bit more ease that there will be updates and things will work properly for some time to come. Obviously bugs and things do happen but I have more faith that the customer service and support will be much better here than other options should I require it.The hub that comes with it is a nice addition to have. Although the limitation of 32gb is a bit limited. However, if it actually has an SD card inserted onto a soldered position on the board, you may be able to replace this. I am just guessing as I haven’t had any issues with it but if you know how to open the hub, I do imagine this might be replaceable with at least up to 128gb. If it’s not then this is quite an oversight.Is still a very strange decision to include such a small size though. SD cards are considerably cheaper these days. I do wonder why they haven’t at least made this upgradable. All storage wears down with repeated overwriting. So this system might only be a temporary year or two solution until you can afford something more sustainable.The picture quality is reasonable as it should be at 2K, although leaves a little to be desired megapixel wise but we might be on the verge of seeing more megapixels on home security in the budget area as technology gets better. We might be heavily spoilt by camera technology but if phones are capable of this, I’m not entirely sure why some brand hasn’t came and blown away the market by including better cameras.It will depend entirely on your internet connection as well. If you have a slow connection or a weak one (if you place these on the far range of your modem or router capability, you will probably not see the best picture quality you can) I would suggest getting a WiFi extended and placing them in a socket you don’t use that’s closer to the camera position you require.It’s at least better than nothing overall, and doesn’t cost in the upper regions of what a system like this could cost but there are some limitations to this Aosu product. Hence why it only gets 4 stars from me. It would have been a bit more acceptable to me to see it with extendable storage.I believe the price was originally £269.99 with an £80 voucher (it’s currently unavailable so I can’t tell what the price is.) At that standard price without the voucher, I do think it’s pushing it a bit just because of the storage capabilities. At £189.99 for 2, with the hub and solar panels, that’s a much more acceptable price to me personally and could easily recommend it at that price.

Title: Fantastic
Review: This system is so easy to setup, just plug the base station is the router and power supply and for me all my cameras were already paired, downloaded the app and renamed the cameras and boom done. Been running now for 1 month and no issues what so ever.I contacted customer service to check on something and the response was fast and professional. I’ve since added a door bell and an indoor camera all cameras now on one app. Brilliant.Picture quality= excellentStorage= excellentConnectivity= excellentSolar keeping batteries full.

Title: Thanks to AOSU service center for resolving the problem so quickly.
Review: I bought this set in April 2023. After 11 months one of the cameras went “offline” and would not come back to life. I contacted the seller, who replied promptly and referred me to the AOSU service centre. After a short correspondence, I was offered two options – either a refund or an exchange for a new camera. I agreed to the exchange. The new camera arrived quickly (4 days), I replaced the faulty camera and now everything is fine. Thank you AOSU for solving the problem so quickly.

Review: We purchased the doorbell along with 2 cameras with solar panels for our house. It was so easy to install them. The free app is very user friendly. The cables on the solar panels are long. It’s really nice having the panels as they keep the cameras charged. We have them under the roofline which isn’t optimal but they still charge. We didn’t have to buy any additional storage as the installed storage is great. These are really great affordable cameras!

Review: We bought this for our home since we are not in a heavily populated area. It is perfect- it is everything that they advertise it to be. It is relatively easy to upload- you just upload the app and it walks you through all the steps. They have wonderful customer service folks who really care and want to you help you so don’t be afraid to ask for help. This product is amazing with an amazingly low price. The night vision for us is mostly black and white but all the images are very sharp and clear. The color pictures/videos during the day are absolutely breathtaking. You have plenty options; you can zoom in and manually record videos to be uploaded on your cell phone gallery. It stores lots of files – one minute for each video, but it keeps recording by creating another video. It records based on moving and heat temperature. It is everything they promise it to be. The recordings and uploaded like files on a computer. You can see great expanses of your property, but it only picks up and records on about 50 ft from the camera. We have one of the cameras loaded on a tree, far from the house, but it still picks it up. You must keep camera in the shade (under the eaves of your roof as stated in the directions), with the solar panel in the sun. However, one of our solar panels is mostly in the shade but it is still 80% charged. You can view everything from your cell phone, no matter how far away you are. The app is fantastic- it even tells you how much WiFi it has and how much battery life each solar panel has. This is one of the best products we have ever purchased on Amazon. We even bought one for our church, which is great since we recently had one of our HVAC units stolen from the back of the church. My sister-in-law is a widow and she bought one too. I love it, and you won’t have any trouble getting help from customer service if you have any questions while installing – they are great to work with. They list phone numbers and there’s a chat room you can use for your questions.

Review: Die Kameras, sowie die Basisstation und die Solar-Panels machen einen wertigen Eindruck. Die Verbindung zur Basisstation ist bei beiden Kameras gut, obwohl eine auf der anderen Hausseite etwas weiter weg von der Basisstation hängt. Das Montagematerial, also die Schrauben und Dübel sind zwar nicht für eine gedämmte Hauswand geeignet, aber da kann man sich mit Dämmstoffdübel helfen. Die Inbetriebnahme ist einfach und die App ist intuitiv. Bilder sind gut, großer Winkel für die Aufnahmen. Nachtsicht ebenfalls gut. Beim Einschalten der LED werden die Nachtbilder auch bunt. Die Gegensprechfunktion ist etwas verzögert, hängt aber auch von der Ãœbertragungsgeschwindigkeit ab, gerade wenn man nicht zuhause ist.Beim Update der Firma hat sich leider eine Kamera “verschluckt”. D.h. diese hatte keine Bilder mehr übertragen. Ein erneutes Update blieb bei 30% stehen bzw. brach ab. Nach Kontakt mit dem AOSU Support wurde versucht die Kamera neu mit der Basisstation zu verbinden. Leider erfolglos. Daher wurde von AOSU eine neue Kamera zugesendet.Fazit: Preis-Leistung-Service – alles ok.

Review:  Tout d’abord, sachez que je mets très rarement un commentaire sur un produit.Un système de surveillance très bien fini pour le prix, je m’explique.L’installation est très simple, il suffit de synchroniser la base avec les caméras et ça prend 5 mn.Une fois installé, le logiciel est simple d’utilisation et assez lisible. Plusieurs possibilités, comme choisir une séquence comme absent de la maison, du coup les caméra se déclenchent dès la présence de personnes. Vous pouvez régler la distance, reconnaissance humaine ou tout mouvements, régler une zone précise, bref suffisant pour la surveillance.La qualité d’image dépends de votre connexion wifi et internet, pour du uhd, wifi 5 minimum et un bon débit internet sinon vous avez une qualité d’image moins bonne.L’enregistrement se fais directement un mouvement détecté et une notification sur votre téléphone.Donc en résumé très satisfait du produit.Maintenant je peux aussi juger le service après vente, suite a une des quatre cameras qui se déchargeait anormalement vite. J’ai pris contact avec le sav via l’appli et après quelques tests, le remplacement de cette caméra a été effectué en quatre jours par une caméra neuve. J’avais des appréhension sur la marque car je connaissais pas mais du coup agréablement surpris par la qualité du service.Donc pour le prix et le service commercial , franchement hésiter pas.
