Review: I collect copper and brass as a hobby, I work in a trade and I get my hands on some copper and brass but I get a good amount of wires, I used to dispose them but I decided to get a cheap Chinese wire stripper but it didn’t work that well. I got this stripmeister and it’s amazing . It works every time, it’s so much easier to adjust and it’s very well built if I was more like a full time copper scrapper I would get a stripmeister built in motor but the drill version is easy to use and it’s good enough to for me

Review: Once you see how the wire feeds into the pulling wheel, it works very well. A little experimenting at first, like making sure you use the smallest hole that the wire will fit through fairly easily. The bottom hole can handle up to 8 gauge the next larger hole about #4 and after that everything else. Setting the cutting wheel is also something you experiment with. To deep and you slice the copper wire and you get pieces, too shallow and you simply run it back through and set it deeper. I stripped 87 lbs of wire in a couple of hours. Its actually fun to do. Used my little Milwaukee M12 drill. Stripped from #10 to 2/0 copper wire. I watched the video from STRIPMEISTER and it sold me on why theirs works so well. I have not tried others so cannot confirm if this is better but the design is superb. The cutting wheel will last a very long time. One other thing, using a battery drill is really ideal. I had thought about a motorized one but having used my little M12 Milwaukee, it is perfect, maybe better than the one with included motor. Since you have to be right there anyway, it is a snap and being able to speed up or slow down has some advantages as well. I just need more scrap wire now and will save every piece of 12/2 and 14/2 Romex from now on.
