Title: great budget tool
Review: I don’t work anymore, so was just looking for a tool that I will only use occasionally. I liked the look of the shape of this tool for the job I had in mind, and I liked the price. As I had asked my friends if anyone had this kind and sander, and no one did, I will happily lend it to them in the future as I know it does a good job.

Title: A cheap but effective tool
Review: Bought to replace an old and well used Bosch detail sander (note to self – never lend tools to friends!) . Although we have replacement white window frames, they are set in hardwood frames and, as we live at the seaside, they need wood staining every couple of years. I find the detail sander very useful for taking the frames down to bare wood, prior to staining and varnishing – saving me a fortune. This sander was a lot cheaper than the Bosch, but seems to be pretty much as effective, so I hope that it lasts as long. A very useful tool at a bargain basement price.

Title: Brilliant
Review: It makes a pleasant change to find a tool that does the job well, and at a good price. First job has been to remove previous treatments from the ledge of a hardwood patio frame and it’s handled it superbly. Back to wood in no time, leaving surfaces ready for prep and re-treatment. Not used the dust collector yet, and in any case I’d rather spend some time clearing dust than wearing myself out sanding wood manually. No hesitation in recommending another Silverline product.

Title: Bit disappointed
Review: I’m a bit disappointed. Ergonomically not well designed – width is too wide to hold easily for any length of time between thumb and fingers. Quite heavy,(Much more than large bag of sugar), so generally could only work for short periods. Dust comes back in your face with air stream- glad I wear glasses! Need to buy a mask! The on-of switch (no sliding scale), is placed under the the body of the sander, so in order to switch it off you have to turn the sander over, not easy when your hands are tired. Wonder if risk if need to switch off in an emergency. Certainly can’t just put sander down if accident. Have been trying to smooth plaster which has been covered in SBR bond- very hard work – hadn’t realised how uneven the surface was. Fair amount of noise and vibration.Think this is a case where better to find somewhere you can test each model for grip/weight comfort. I had done loads of reading articles on web, but disappointed it doesn’t fit the adjectives used in the add. (Hand still uncomfortable/tired having finished the task 20 minutes afterwards – and I had used it for about the same time. ( I have reasonable hand strength and size for a woman.) Not so expensive to be a really bad buy.

Title: Does what it say’s on the box !
Review: Brilliant little sander , we have been doing alot of work with this & have had no problems , sanded down paint from metal with no problem too , really good for those tricky spaces , also great for those little fillers here & there on walls too , also the sand sheets for this sander are brilliant too just peel off & stick another on , i would recommend this sander for light jobs anything big you would need a proper sander

Review: Je viens récemment d’acheter cette ponceuse (en remplacement d’un modèle plus puissant et avec variateur de vitesse).Elle n’est pas vraiment puissante (180 Watts), du coup pas bruyante non plus. Elle n’a donc pas de variateur de vitesse.Mais elle est tout a fait suffisante pour des petits travaux (Je décape la vieille peinture des portes d’intérieur de la maison, pour les repeindre ensuite). Il ne m’était donc pas indispensable d’investir plus cher en prix. Cette ponceuse me satisfait amplement.
