Title: Great Webcam.
Review: The Airhug02 Webcam was given to me for an unbiased review. I have been using the camera for about 2 weeks now and find it to be an excellent upgrade from my old Logitech C500 webcam.I am going to get the one big negative out of the way first. There is NO MICROPHONE on this webcam. This is not an issue for me as I have an external microphone that I use for conference calls. This will definitely be an issue for some though.The things I like are that windows correctly picked up the webcam with no issues as soon as it was plugged in. I have been mostly testing the camera using Windows Camera which allowed me to select the full 2560 x 1440 resolution and it records at 30fps as advertised. Whilst using Skype I could only select 1080p so I am assuming that this is a limitation of the software and not the camera. The camera is able to cope well in low light. I have spent some time testing the focus of the camera and I am able to focus on objects less than 1 inch from the lens which is absolutely amazing in my opinion. The camera also has a small green LED which lights to say that it is in use, and a privacy screen that can be slid over the lens when not in use. Apart from this, it’s a webcam that works really well. I was in the market for a new webcam and would have been happy to paid the full £29.99

Review: Very good. This is the only webcam I could find without a microphone, other than a Dell unit at £150. Ideal for streaming as it allows the use of a quality external microphone. Just what I require for streaming musical instrument performances… I don’t think there is a webcam on the market with inbuilt microphones that can match a decent external unit. Good product with an acceptable video performance. The hinge and ball and socket joint are far too ‘free’/loose in my view, especially when using with a mini tripod

Title: Excellent budget webcam
Review:  From my experience most cheap webcams are pretty much the same – terrible low light performance, a slightly blurry image with no detail, and a general air of “it’s better than a built in laptop camera, but only just” – so I had fairly low expectations for this, so I was pleasantly surprised. It copes well with a wide range of lighting conditions, the picture is sharp, and the focal range is good although the autofocus is a bit fidgety if you’re not particularly well lit. The lack of a microphone is either a plus or minus depending on your needs, but worth bearing in mind when purchasing.(I always find it kind of odd that nobody ever includes video footage or captured images in reviews for webcams – plenty of pictures *of* the camera, but no pictures *from* the camera – so I’ve included a very uneventful test clip shot in a fairly dark room using manual focus and exposure.)

Review: I use this for work and the picture quality is great (per my coworkers). Love that I can just plug and go with no downloading involved (which I couldn’t do anyway since it’s a work laptop). I use it with either tripod or clipped to one of monitors. No mic which is fine as I use a headset. Overall, great buy for the money.

Review: J’ai dû commandé 3 caméras pour en avoir 2 fonctionnelle, mais après un mois d’utilisation une des deux était déjà dysfonctionnelle, je ne pouvais donc pas la retourner via Amazon et j’ai contacter à de multiples reprise le service client avec la garantie annoncé de 1 ans, rien du tout ! Aucune réponse, la garantie est fausse et plus de la moitié des caméras que j’ai commandé sont dysfonctionnelles ! Le fait qu’il n’y ai pas de micro m’as attiré mais il y a beaucoup trop de défauts de fabrication ! Et surtout aucune garantie comme inscrit dans la boite (1 ans de garantie) ! Tout le service après vente est injoignable… Donc comme je suis bloqué avec je vous ne la recommande pas du tout…Défauts rencontrés :- Ne fonctionne juste pas- Fonctionne un temps aléatoire puis coupe, on doit alors relancer l’application qui utilise la caméra

Review: Zur Ausgangslage:Ich habe eine alternative Kamera zu meiner Notebook-Kamera gesucht, weil die eingebaute Kamera des Notebooks leider immer zu dunkel ist. Des Weiteren verwende ich den Bildschirm des Notebooks “nur” als Sekundärmonitor, der somit seitlich vor mir steht. Mein Hauptmonitor steht gerade vor mir. Da ich täglich mehrere Online-Besprechungen habe, möchte ich mit Blick auf den Hauptmonitor auch in die Kamera schauen können, ohne mich ständig zur Seite zum Notebook drehen zu müssen. Da Kameras mit Mikrofon dazu neigen, die Mikrofoneinstellungen der Besprechungs-Tools (z. B. MS-Teams oder GotoMeeting) zu verändern, habe ich bewusst eine Kamera ohne Mikrofon gesucht, da ich für Audio ein Headset verwende.Zur Kamera:Die Kamera kommt in einer schlichten Pappschachtel. Darin befindet sich außer der Kamera nur eine Bedienungsanleitung in (ausschließlich) deutscher Sprache. Mehr nicht (und mehr braucht man auch nicht).Die Kamera ist mit einem um 360° drehbaren Gelenk auf einer Halterung montiert. Diese kann man auf- und zuklappen. Im zugeklappten Zustand befindet sich auf der Unterseite ein Stativgewinde. Zum Klemmen an einen Monitor kann die Halterung um bis zu 180° aufgeklappt werden. Innen (also in dem aufgeklappten Bereich) ist die Halterung mit einem weichen Belag ausgestattet, um den Monitor (oder woran immer man die Kamera klemmt) nicht zu zerkratzen. Zudem ist der Belag rutschhemmend (wahrscheinlich ist er in erster Linie dafür da ;-)).Vorne hat die Kamera eine Abdeckung, die man bei Bedarf vor die Linse schieben kann. Die Abdeckung gibt in diesem Fall einen dicken roten Punkt frei, so dass man den abgedeckten Zustand nicht übersehen kann (anders als mir das manchmal beim Notebook passiert 😉 ).Die Kamera wird (bei mir unter Windows 10) sofort erkannt, wenn man den USB-Stecker einstöpselt. In MS-Teams habe ich die Kamera einmalig als zu verwendende Kamera ausgewählt. Seitdem wir sie stets automatisch verwendet. Ein Umschalten von der Notebook- zur externen Kamera ist nicht jedes Mal nötig.Wird die Kamera verwendet, quittiert sie dies mit einer kleinen grünen (nicht störenden) LED, die ansonsten aus ist.Plus-Punkte der Kamera aus meiner Sicht:+ Kleine, leichte Kamera+ flexible Halterung mit 360°-Drehbarkeit+ keine separate Software erforderlich → sofortiger Einsatz möglich+ kein separates Mikrofon (war Kaufgrund für mich!)+ ausreichend gutes Bild für Videokonferenzen (Bild ist laut Gesprächspartner schärfer als meine Notebook-Kamera)+ guter Autofokus+ kein Weitwinkel → es wird nicht der ganze Raum gefilmt, und ich erscheine größer ;-)Die in einer Rezension bemängelte Autofokussierung z. B. bei Video-Identifikationen, um ein Ausweisdokument lesbar in die Kamera zu halten, kann ich übrigens nicht bestätigen. Bei mir war ein Personalausweis exzellent über die Kamera lesbar.Kritikpunkte:Habe ich keine. Dass die Kamera mangels eigener Software logischerweise nur mit den betriebssystemseitigen Kameraeinstellungen justiert werden kann (z. B. Helligkeit), war mir vorher bekannt.Fazit:Die Kamera ist zwar kein High-End-Gerät, aber für meinen Anwendungsfall (Kamera für Videokonferenzen ohne separates Mikrofon) perfekt. Das Preis-/Leistungs-Verhältnis passt aus meiner Sicht. Ich bin mit der Kamera sehr zufrieden und empfehle sie daher für ähnliche Anwendungsfälle weiter.Vielen Dank für’s Lesen 🙂
