Review: Reviewing products for curly hair is hard because everyone’s curls react differently to different types of products. My hair didn’t like this gel, but that doesn’t mean it’s a bad product, so I will review it based on the product itself rather than how it worked on my hair.It has a nice scent, it’s quite thick, and emulsifies well. It’s easy to apply evenly and leaves a good cast, without any lasting stickiness or flaking after it’s scrunched out.It’s a large tub, so the price is really good value too.

Title: A little pricey, amazing smell
Review: Makes my hair smooth, nice definition and shine, smell is so lovely! Hair is soft not sticky or hard, no weird chemicals my hair responds nicely to this and moisturises. Only complaint it is a little on the pricier end but that being said you get a huge tub that lasts ages. Overall pleased and got the quality expected from an established brand such as Shea Moisture.

Review: I’ve been using this for a few weeks now after my wash day to give it a fair try and see how well it performs in different circumstances. I found that the product is quite heavy in my hair, and I typically use lighter products to avoid weighing down my curls and making them limp. This was despite applying very small amounts.I found the texture of the gel to be quite thick and almost waxy, and it left a bit of a sticky sensation to my hands that initially made me worried it was going to just make my hair go completely crunchy and have that awful plasticky sheen to it that some cheaper products do.All in all the results weren’t too bad – my curls were quite tight afterwards and looked glossy once it dried and I scrunched my hair to break up the product. The smell is also quite pleasant but not overpowering.

Review: Smells quite lovely-not the usual hair gel or hair styling product smell. Easy to scoop product from the pot and apply. Defines curls without feeling heavy or stiff. It’s very light and hair feels soft.. It’s really great to use after wash and keeps my curls nice and define all day and reactivates the next day with a water spray. I regularly buy supermarket styling gel to cast my curls and will definitely buy this again especially for the smell and the conditioning properties. My 2B-2C curls love it and it makes my hair looking healthier.
