Fitch brushes – precision painting for tricky spots
Whilst traditional flat paint brushes are ideal for the larger areas, fitch brushes are handy tools that find use in a surprising number of situations. They are ideal anywhere that precise paint application is required or access is tricky, including touching up small scuffs in paintwork, detail work such as around switches and sockets, narrow spots such as tight or recessed corners, awkward spots such as behind pipework, painting window frames, intricate metalwork, cabinets and more.
These brushes are made from pure white bristle, which gives smooth, precise paint application, set in a rust-resistant, stainless steel rounded ferrule. The head is balanced with a long, varnished wooden ‘rat tail’ handle, which has a slimline design for control and a round profile that enables you to turn the brush to maximise paint application. They are suitable for all paint types including emulsions (eg. matt, silk, eggshell), gloss and satin, as well as woodstains and varnishes.
This set contains 4 fitch brushes: numbers 4 (8mm diameter), 6 (8.5mm), 8 (11mm) and 10 (13mm). Whilst these brushes can be used as art brushes, bear in mind that the white bristle used for applying decorative paints is rougher than the bristle used in many artist brushes, so you won’t get the same finish with art paints as you would with specialist artist brushes.

Customers say
Customers like the value and cleaning of the paint brush. For example, they mention it’s a perfect set of inexpensive brushes for those hard to reach places, and that the bristles don’t fall out. That said, opinions are mixed on length, quality, and bristle loss.

Title: Great for Decorating
Review: These are AMAZING for decorating!I bought these as I am not good at painting I get it everywhere. I bought these to see if it made it easier and omg it does!I used these with gloss paint around the floors, ceilings, skirting boards everywhere that is tricky and wow they are super easy to use and I didn’t get paint anywhere. I even used them to paint my banister railings black with cream carpet and they are perfect. They clean so easy in a minute all the paint has gone. I would say the tiny tiny brush which I used for the areas i was most worried about goes hard very fast when using gloss. But a quick clean and they are perfect.

Title: Bought to apply knotting solution
Review: These seem decent brushes. There are two reasons why I gave 4 stars instead of 5. First the ‘brush hairs’ are pretty short – as a rubbish painter, this means I need to be precise (and I’m not!!). The other reason for 4 stars is that the brushes are quite hard to clean. This could be because of the knotting solution I’ve used, or it could be the brush. If I use one of the other brushes with a different type of paint I will try to remember and update.

Title: Saved the day!
Review: When the masking tape I’d used for decorating pulled off layers of paint underneath, I could have cried! Instead, I ordered these brushes to touch up the defects and they worked brilliantly. Very good quality, easy to use for close up, delicate painting. Definitely recommend!

Title: To much packing.
Review: Brushes perfect, but for a small item the packing was ridiculous, big cardboard box packed with reams of paper.
