Title: A Cut Above The Rest
Review: This is the best-made hacksaw I have seen and of its type is a definite 5-star. It has an excellent selection of blades – a 12″ blade for wood/PVC/soft metal (18tpi), a 12″ bi-metal blade (24tpi), a 10″ drywall saw (7tpi) and a 13″ wood saw (7tpi). No tools are required to swap the blades in this easy-to-use handsaw and you can swap them over using the locking system in seconds. A novel feature is the ability to angle the metal blades, so you can do a cross-cut. Meanwhile, the non-slip handle has a comfortable grip allowing an efficient sawing action. I’ve seen others similarly priced that are comparatively flimsy. This has an excellent design for accomplishing a variety of DIY tasks.

Review: Solid ‘4 in 1’ handsaw, with the four being achieved by the included two blades that fit within the hacksaw frame – the 18tpi universal saw blade for wood / plastic / soft metal and the 24tpi bi-metal blade, specifically for metal cutting.The hacksaw frame is then removed (by depressing the sprung pin that keeps it in place) and either the drywall saw blade (7tpi), which can be used for wallboard, pvc, panelling etc. or the wood saw blade (7tpi), can be clamped onto the handle using the easy to operate lever clamp, which secures the blade firmly onto the handle.The changeover process is straight forward and tool free, as claimed it only takes a few seconds for each blade change, leaving the saw ready for the next operation.The actual saws work well, giving an efficient clean cut, so a good selection of cutting options contained within the one tool.Would have been good if it came with a small zip up bag / case to keep the different bits together, but not essential, just would have avoided the potential to lose the different components when not in use.I did notice the advert states power source ‘corded electric’, it is obviously manual!So a solid saw that all clamps together firmly, giving decent sawing operation with the different blades, useful addition to any tool bag. The vibrant colour should help with finding the saw in the workshop!
