Title: Excellent De-soldering Iron
Review: This de-soldering iron is a huge step up from the usual copper wick and the plastic nozzle sprung versions. The ability to quickly heat and melt the solder joint then suck out that solder whilst it is still melted is a game changer. I had to remove a pcb socket with 32 pins and the de-soldering iron did it very quickly and efficiently without having to stop. It is also very easy to clean and maintain, quite simply it is an excellent tool.

Title: Lifesaver
Review: Easy to use, quick to heat up. Keep copper tip cleaner handy to extend the life of the tip.Couldn’t be more straight forward to use and has made modifying, fixing and testing circuits a hundred times easier and less stressful. The hollow heated tip slips over the soldered pins, melting the solder so you can suck it all up with one button, rarely do you have to come back for a second suck, provided you eject excess solder in the shaft with the plunger (worth having a wet cloth to eject it onto). The build is a bit flimsy in its plastic so I’m trying not to be too rough with it, but it was a worthwhile investment for the hours of agony I’d spent trying to desolate with wick or a separate non heated solder sucker. Could be a bit more compact for smaller circuits and I haven’t tried it with SMD components which I can imagine with the size might be an issue. No temperature control either but it’s been plenty hot enough and fast working that I haven’t felt like it needed one. I might put a switch on it too so I don’t have to plug it in and unplug it from the outlet every time I need to use it. Comes with a little stand which is helpful.

Title: Sucks as it should
Review: Arrived nicely boxed. I’ve been using a non heated sucker and was looking forward to this revelation. I plugged it in and waited for it to heat up. The cable is thick and a not massively flexible but workable. White smoke started coming out of the device as expected. Burning off various manufacturing oils etcAfter a few minutes I tried it on one of the solder points. It melted the solder perfectly and with a press of the button sucked up the solder leaving a surprisingly clean hole on the PCB.It would be nice for it to have a “at temperature†indicator, but holding it onto the pcb solder kind of tests that.On some joints I had to rotate the sucker to make sure it heated all the solder properly before sucking.Overall however I am very pleased with its performance. Cleaning it is also a doddle. The chamber is very easily removed. Pull the plunger out and give it scrape to get the solder off. Refit with ease.Good item for the money.

Title: Deslolder
Review: Excellent very happy with This, it’s we’ll made and a good design making it easy to clean after use, it makes desoldering components on a circuit board so easy, it’s brilliant. I bought this because I also purchased a new soldering iron which came with stand clips, programmable temperature, etc. I was so pleased with the quality of build with this make, I didn’t heasatate in purchasing this desolder, you won’t be disappointed I highly recommend This desolderer.

Title: Silicone seal burns and crumbles away!
Review: This was absolutely brilliant to begin with. Even getting components off double sided boards. It worked on any component I cared to extract – large or tiny!It was a joy to use!But after only a few uses, the ‘silicone’ seal where the pump joins to the heated tube has burnt and crumbled away. So now it doesn’t suck at all which really sucks! So if you want a throw-away product at this price, go ahead! Ultimately it will fail.Oh and the nozzles don’t last long at all. They also crumble away unevenly pretty rapidly so suction fails. I see they’ve now realised this and are charging £10 for a new pack, which is ridiculous bearing in mind the original product price. If you have only a few desoldering jobs and are prepared to fork out the money for this just to do those jobs, then that will probably work well for you. But any more than that and this product will fail. The ‘silicone’ seal is obviously very poor quality, as are the nozzles. They just can’t take the heat!So overall, another product which lasts only a few uses and then becomes land-fill.You have been warned!

Title: Great in theory, less so in practice
Review: This device looks like a great idea, but there’s one big drawback. The nozzles get eaten away after just a few de-solders. Even tinning the tip causes it to be eaten away. I’ve followed the instructions to the letter. We all know how to tin a new tip, and the instructions are clear on this. A 20 pin CPU and two 9 pin resistor packs and the tip was only fit to be thrown away. This is a real shame as when it’s working it’s brilliant. The metal parts get extremely hot, much hotter than my 25W iron, don’t know if this it what causes the nozzle rot. It also looks like it’ll need cleaning out more often than a standard solder sucker, but that’s ok. I really want to like this, but going through tips at this rate I just can’t give it a better review

Title: Works very well
Review: If you need to have a portable desoldering solution or do not need to desolder regularly loads of PCB’s, this is really handy. Just used it and works very well. Impressed!
