Powering Up

Powering up the sharpener is quick and easy. Simply slide the desired sharpener module onto the machine’s power unit (chisel & plane or knife & scissor) and prepare it for operation as per manual instructions. Plug the machine into a suitable mains supply then switch the mains on. Then all you need to do is turn the power unit on via the red power switch as shown above.

Knife & Scissor Sharpener

The POSENPRO Multi-Function Sharpener comes included with a knife and scissor sharpener module, suitable for all household straight edged, knives and scissors. For knives there are two slots for sharpening, at the top of the module and for scissors there is a large slot on the front of the module, these can be seen, pointed out in the above image.

Review: For sharpening tools that are used in a trade this is terrible. The thing is flimsy, doesn’t cut a square edge, has no torque, has a rough wheel so you can’t get a nice edge and the body covering the motor gets extremely hot! Even if you’re an extremely rare DIYer I would not advise getting this and for about a tenner more you could get something half decent, I will definitely be saving and buying a much better one!

Review: The grinding wheel is a poor replacement for a stone one. Attempted to put an edge on one of my chisels and I couldn’t get a clean edge or a straight one due to the amount of play in the accessories. Even harder to get a decent edge on a drill bit. Seriously considering returning the item.
