Title: Thinner than I expected
Review: This item was supplied to me free of charge through Amazon’s Vine program; however, this in no way influences my review, all items I request are products that I have a use for or will use and the reviews I then submit are intended to be both impartial and informative for potential purchasers.We have been waiting to open this for a fair few days as we ordered a set of bedding from somewhere else that has taken an age to arrive but it arrives today from Turkey. To that end, we have now opened the Super King duvet insert to let it breathe.Dont know how long it will take or if it will ever get to eh size shown on the images but there are a few subtle differences of what you get from is pictured.There is no piping around the outside of the duvet and the squares that you see are not as prominent.Having only ever had polyester filling, it is not as plump as i was expecting being a 13.5 tog rating but assuming the Goose down will mke up for that.When you hold the duvet up to the light, there is fill in every square and i do note that another person had issues but this one seems ok all be it, there is daylight in places but this has only just been opened and it will need plumping every few days with out pets that will trample all over this.Loveley feel and noise from the duvet as you move it about and have got just in time as the cold spell hits.

Title: Cosy and warm but a little plastic feeling
Review: I ordered this heavyweight duvet in single size after having a feather duvet on holiday and loving how cosy and warm it was. When receiving this one it comes vacuum packed and on opening it starts to fluff up well, the longer you leave it the better it comes up and seems to be well spread out with no bunching. This is a duvet with 50% down and 50% feather and with this being machine washable it is a good one to buy.The only negative is that I found the outer of the duvet to feel and sound a little plastic and not the cotton feel I was thinking it would be. I do however think a lot of feather ones are like this maybe to stop feathers coming out too easily so I may be being a little picky but worth mentioning. Overall apart from this it seems to be a good quality duvet which keeps you warm and hopefully it will last well after washing without any bunching.

Title: Very Poor some pockets devoid of filling
Review: Update: I have slept under this for a few nights to try it out. It is comfortable not heavy on the body, but doesn’t slide around when you move and it is reasonably warm probably for Autumn/Spring temperatures. This is probably more to do with the insulating quality of the feathers that the quality of the duvet. It makes me think that I got a dud with the near empty pockets. To be honest they don’t seem to effect the warmth of the duvet as much as I would have thought, but my 1 star will stay as the cost of this doesn’t justify near empty pockets.This duvet came vac packed but once out of its plastic prison I was very disappointed with it. Even after leaving overnight and some very vigorous shaking it still looked flat and lifeless nothing like the Amazon store picture.It is meant to be pocketed so the filling stays in each cell but on closer inspection some of mine had little to no filling whilst others were reasonably plump (please see picture). So either the pocketing has failed or the duvet hasn’t been filled correctly for a retail price of £55 I would expect far better so one star from me. It might be okay for summer use. Also the colour of the duvet is an off white not the pure bright white of the amazon picture so overall I am not impressed with it at all.
