Title: The iron works well, but the quality just isn’t there.
Review: âš™ï¸ This review is a bit mixed, unfortunately. First, the good stuff. The soldering station is relatively easy to set up, with caveats, although there are quite a few parts to it. There is a solder spool that needs to be attached at the back and some copper cleaning wool that goes in a small cup at the front. The lid for this is very difficult to remove, but don’t use much force as it is thin aluminium and easily bent. Once the iron tops are inserted and the power supply is connected, you are ready to go.âš™ï¸ The iron top heats up quickly, and the controls are all easy to use to set the temperature of the tip. There is no solder included. Also in the kit are a pair of helping hands for holding the work piece, and these are flexible rods that screw into the base and have small crocodile jaws on the ends. Other items in the kit include some plastic case openers, tweezers, a silicone pad, and a de-solder tool.👎 Now for the negatives. The whole kit is very cheaply made. You suspect so when you pick it up and feel that it is extremely light. It is made of cheap plastic, and I partially opened it to look inside and confirmed that it is almost empty except for the various connection wires and a single circuit board. To be fair, you don’t need much more, but I expected the case to be more substantial. The aforementioned copper wool holder is easily crushed and should really be steel. The solder reel holder is in the wrong place and way too near the solder hot tip when you place it into its holder. There is no cable cutting tool included as shown in the product pictures, and the case opening tools are superfluous. Lastly, the de-soldering tool is the cheapest and worst that I have ever used, and I have decades of experience with them. The other thing to notice is that the power supply is 48 watts and the solder station is supposed to be 60 watts.âš–ï¸ In summary, while the soldering iron definitely works, the kit overall is not worth the cost at almost £65. You get the same amount of plastic as an inexpensive toy; it is poorly laid out, and some of the parts were either missing or not required. This is a shame, as it looks like the part in the pictures. I have other soldering irons and stations to compare it to, and you would be better off buying a quality iron and some better tools. I thought that 3 stars was more than fair, given that the soldering iron does work. I cannot recommend this kit, unfortunately. âŒ

Title: User friendly and cleverly designed
Review: I bought this digital precision soldering station for my husband and at first I was a bit surprised about the compact size, however I decided to make any wrong assumptions until fully tested. This machine is very easy to use, it has 3 buttons where you can control the functions smoothly and straightforward, it’s very precise and secure while soldering and comes with tip cleaner and spool holder. The heat gets transferred very rapidly and the sensor detects changes in temperature in a brilliant way. The only reason I am giving a caution 4 stars is because it was used only once so far and I was expecting a bigger soldering station, however performance upon first test has been superb.
