Title: Nearly Great, But a Few Issues
Review: There’s a lot to like about this kettle. It’s lightweight and compact, yet feels tough enough for travel. It’s fairly quiet. It has a pretty good one litre capacity for such a compact design. It looks smart. The plastic feels nice to the touch. The on switch is nice. The price is very reasonable.But I have two issues with this kettle. The first is that I find that you have to be careful and take it slowly when pouring out the hot water. If I tip it as much as I normally do with my home kettle, boiling hot water spills out of the sides of the spout.Secondly, despite having washed this out three times, including a 24-hour soak in soapy water, I still get a taste of plastic from the water. I can’t notice the taste with my fruit tea, but I often drink warm water and can clearly taste the plastic then. I don’t taste any plastic with my old plastic travel kettle.
