Title: Crystal Clear Image
Review: The JPL Webcam, Vision Access, is a great camera that gives me clear and sharp HD picture when on video calls. It works really well with our Windows Hello login system, so I can easily and securely access my devices. Setting up this high-definition webcam was very easy as it was plug-and-play and worked right away. I also liked that it came with a USB-A to USB-C adaptor, so it can be used with different ports on my PC. The built-in privacy lens cover is a great feature as well, and all in all, it is a fantastic high-quality webcam.

Title: A decent all-round webcam, even works great for streaming with!
Review: The overall quality of both the camera and the 1.8m cable is very good indeed and I would say it looks and feels like a quality product. The camera feels well made, the monitor mount works really well, and I love that you can point the camera down if you need to show something on your desk. The cable is also very decent, I like the braiding and the fact you can choose between a Type-C or a Type-A plug by flipping open the cap.First off, the video quality is very good and even though its only 30fps videos looks nice and smooth. It works really well in both well-lit and dimly lit areas with only minimal grain appearing as the ambient light is reduced. If you try using it in a dark room with only your monitors glow, then it still works well given the situation, but you of course get a lot of noise, so the video quality is reduced but still usable. The best quality is when you have a light source such as a ring light in front of you.The sound quality is also quite decent and perfectly usable without a separate microphone if youâ€™re streaming or video calling someone. It picks up voices nice and clearly with hardly any noise.Ive been using the Windows Hello feature since setting it up and it actually works great with no issues at all. Its super easy to setup in Windows settings, you just need to click on the Windows Hello face option in the Sign In settings, look directly at the camera to learn your face, and within a few seconds youâ€™re ready to go, no more passwords to remember!Overall, I think this is an excellent, middle of the ground webcam and whether youâ€™re using it for Teams meetings or just starting off streaming it ticks all the right boxes, and it works perfectly with decent video and sound quality. For under Â£100 I feel it represents pretty good value for money.Itâ€™s a product Iâ€™m happy to recommend and I feel its worth the full five stars, buy with confidence!

Title: Works straight out of the box
Review: If you simply need a decent HD webcam that has zero installation set up, it’s a great unit. It’s clear, great field of view and the mic seems to be clear and of decent quality (no complaints from the other end). Its a simple plug and play unit which works flawlessly and in 4 weeks not a single issue has arisen. It just works. The privacy screen is a nice feature so you know no one can be watching when you don’t want them to and the overall design is simple but functional.The price is high imo, I’d like a bit more resolution at this price point if I’m honest but it’s a simple and practical, no frills unit.

Title: Just works
Review: Having used Windows Hello on a laptop, I was looking for a webcam that offered the required IR camera to use on my docked laptop (where the built-in camera is closed off). This JPL webcam does just that.The first thing to note is that although it is plug-and-play, not requiring me to download any specific drivers, the IR camera did need a reboot to work. The primary vision camera worked out of the box though. I wasn’t expecting this as there was no prompt to reboot, but the camera wasn’t detected for Windows Hello until the reboot had been done. This is in reality the only criticism I have and even then, it is not a fault of the camera but of Windows.The image quality from the primary camera is excellent and looks sharp for a 1080p camera (shame the image it was taking â€“ me â€“ isn’t as good looking!). The image is in focus for the person in it and it works well in all major video chat apps I have used. There is a built-in microphone too, but this does have a habit of picking up background noise (most webcam microphones are like this). Another nice feature is the sliding lens cover, so those concerned about privacy can quickly close off the camera with a physical block.The IR camera works perfectly with Windows Hello and is that good that I have been able to use with more side lighting than the original image had without affecting the speed of detection. For this purpose, it largely ‘Just Works’.I would have no hesitation in recommending this camera if you are looking for one that support Windows Hello. It is more expensive though so if you do not need this, I would suggest looking at other cameras from JPL.

Review: I use a Surface and a desktop computer pretty much equally, but only the laptop has a camera and microphone so I’ve had to use it exclusively for Zoom meetings. The Surface has Windows Hello which I’ve been relying on more and more.1-It’s really convenient (and safe) for the computer to unlock because it recognizes my face. I also have a number of protected apps that will run with either a password or Windows Hello to unlock them. It’s quick and convenient and I really started to miss that convenience when using my desktop so I started looking for a Windows Hello compatible camera.After doing a lot of internet searches and watching more YouTube videos than you can imagine, I decided to try this JPL Vision webcam.I love it.âœ… It’s really well made and is a quality productâœ… It has a shutter so you can cover the lens insuring complete privacyâœ… It’s truly plug-and-play. No additional drivers or software are needed to get this to work. Windows recognizes it immediately.âœ… The quality of the video for Zoom meetings is great. The picture is clear, motion is fluid and the microphone works well and other participants hear me clearly.âœ… It can stand on it’s own on a desktop or clip to a monitor.If you want a good and reasonably priced webcam, this is an excellent choice. If you want a webcam that is compatible with Windows Hello, you’d be hard pressed to find a better camera than this without spending significantly more.I highly recommend this JPL Vision Access camera.
