Title: Really impressed ðŸ˜ðŸ˜ðŸ˜
Review: Since moving to quite a large property (2500 sq ft) I was struggling getting wifi to my office even with a decent Asus router, a combination of solid brick walls and distance was causing problems.So yeah, not gonna lie, sorting this was not a cheap fix. For the best results I hardwired the Ethernet to this router, needed an electrician for some big cable runs, but once up and running my wifi and internet performance across my house is exceptional. I no longer have any dead spots and get full signal in every room and outside.I got this on a deal and with my sparky it cost close to Â£500 sorting my wifi issues, I do regret spending this price but the benefits are great.You do need some relatively decent tech knowledge to set this up, I had to change the modes to get it working in the right way, but after a bit of patience and trial and error itâ€™s a banging system ðŸ‘ŒðŸ‘ŒðŸ‘Œ

Review: I bought this to boost the signal to a Wi-Fi doorbell, and it barely makes a difference. The coverage on the bigger units (XT8 or 9) are much better and there isn’t that much in the price difference. Extremely disappointed with this, it does look good though.It has stop connecting via the ethernet port, this is a really bad product from Asus, avoid!

Title: Very poor node connectivity – can’t recommend
Review: My goal was to use these as nodes to my AX11000 router to replace Powerline plugs around the house. Unfortunately, these XD4’s regularly dropped to Poor signal in the Asus Router App and connected to the main router on the 2.4ghz channel. I tried updating these and repositioning and they would initially join on 5ghz Great Signal and then within a couple of days, drop down to Poor signal. As a result, we were suffering with terrible connectivity when devices were using these nodes around the house.I separately had a XD6S device and this connected to the main router at 5ghz at all times and provided a great signal in that area of the house. I have since replaced the XD4 with XD6S devices and the improvements are enormous. Connectively is great to the XD6S devices.Maybe I had a bad batch of the XD4 devices but they were on the latest firmware and just seemed very poor. Can’t recommend.

Review: Bought to boost performance / range to existing Asus mesh. Does the job very well. Some issues with weak signal but resolved by turning Smart Connect off on the mesh. Solid wifi throughout the house and garden now

Good security features and configuration app.Two units gave all the coverage I needed and having dual bands gives plenty of flexibility.The only niggle I had is with the plug. It’s one of those units where you twist on the relevant country plug to the power unit and then plug it in. My one doesn’t twist in tight and if knocked accidentally it comes loose from the attached power unit and you lose power. Doesn’t appear to be the same quality as the routers but I don’t think it’s enough to lose a â

Title: Rubbish, XD Mini was better
Review: Bought a couple of these as had the XT9 Router combined with an AX Mini for a few years now and been great. Bought these to add to the mesh network… wish I hadn’t. Constantly dropping out and marked as ‘weak signal’ in the app despite trying absolutely everything to get them working more stable. Putting my older AX Mini in the exact same spot and it shows as ‘Great’ connection quality.

Review: Reasonably good quality, and nice with the wallmount option. Fairly simple to set up via the app on your smart phone.Why it does not get a 5 star rating is due to this:- I don’t really like the white light on the router’s bottom part which can be seen at night, but this is easily fixed with a little white tape.- Not as simple to setup as given in the instructions for the installation part. When I had put the internet cable from the fiber modem into the first of the 3 routers, the app on the cell phone could not detect the internet connection even if the units were hardwired together, and there were no help for this problem in the app. So I had to try different things myself to see if I could fix the issue. Powering off the modem and routers strangly enough did NOT fix this issue. But after unplugging and plugging in the internet cable and after powering off and powering on the router and waiting for 10 min, then all of a sudden the app picked up the connection and I could finish the installation.- I thought the wifi signal was stronger that it is. We have a 140 m2 house (approx. 3500 ft2) with a small annex and with 3 units I am NOT able to cover the house and annex with full signal strength (= green connections on the app). I had to buy another unit to supplement the setup with. We have a house made of bricks so when the marketing people did the marketing materials and testing of the routers, they must have been in a cardboard hourse. The range they claim is nowhere near our reality at our house.
