Review: I’m going to write quite a comprehensive review because, as someone who has tried out tons and tons of products ranging from Curl Smith and boucleme to well known brands like L’Oreal and other mainstream brands (which are now producing products for curly hair), I know what it’s like to go trial and error to figure out what works. I have spent a lot of money and £7 it’s still £7 wasted if you use it once it doesn’t work! It’s also pretty much wasted if you have it for a month and it starts off good but ends up not working for you! Happens a lot to me.This is why I’ve tested this over period of time and, as I wash my hair once or twice a week, I’ve used it every time I wash (it recommended 1-2 a week so I guess I’m following instructions!).My hair is a mix of 3A and 3B tight waves and corkscrews that start of my scalp. It’s European hair, coloured with dye every 3 months by a hairdresser and is dry and never gets greasy (but it does get very frizzy if I don’t use the right products!!).I use this as instructed and wash with conditioner only beforehand. The instructions are to apply a generous amount towel dried hair and comb through. You leave it on for 5 to 10 minutes and rinse. It’s a Hair mask so you can use anything you normally use as well.I just use my normal routine… so followed up with gel but left out any extra leave in product, then scrunched to encourage the curl.The ingredients are impressive and, as stated, do not include any of the usual things that you have to avoid when you are going ‘curly girl method’! So it definitely has no nasties like silicone or sulphate. The salt free bit is obviously good too and it has lots of good things, although I’m not too sure my hair loves coconut though.To be fair, this is not an expensive mask, it’s a good size for £7 and I like the smell and consistency too. It’s quite a thick cream so there’s no chance of it dripping, which is good because you apply it to towel dried hair and not in the shower so if you do drip it’s gonna get messy! It goes on my hair quite easily and my (below the shoulder length) hair needs about two Walnut sized blobs. Sorry I can’t be more accurate! I scoop out a chunk basically! When I wash it out, it rinses out easily and doesn’t leave my hair feeling super sleek but that’s probably a good thing! It feels very wet if that makes sense – as if there is a lot of saturation in my hair.I leave it sopping wet and apply my usual curl defining gel, which is medium hold.I rake this into my hair with my fingers using the praying hands technique at the end. I then scrunch it in to encourage my curls. Then I either leave it or diffuse. It takes my hair some time to fully dry, even though it’s dry hair.The end result is good. Clumped curls and less frizzy. Feels soft and not dry. For this price, I think it’s really good. Certainly on par with much more expensive brands

Review: I have wavy hair that I know I should be looking after better to enhance the curls so this product is exactly what I needed.It is a thick moisturising treatment to help rescue your hair and get some of the curls back in, moisture back in, protein back in and all of that!I was really happy to see this has rice water as one of the main ingredients as I have been wanting to try this for my hair (adds a lot of protein )The product smells lovely as it has Shea butter and some oils in it, and is easy to use (but allow extra time when washing and styling your hair as you need to put this on damp hair and then go back to rinse after around 10-15 min)In combination with looking after my hair properly (comb not brush, air dry or diffusing etc) this is great for my hair, but you do have to do the other bits right for your hair too. If I use this and then put a hair brush through my hair it will still be ruined, so get this and keep on top of the whole routine
