Title: Does the job …however
Review: This very well made swinging-bin lid arrived inside in an easy to recycle plastic bag. I choose it because I thought a tabletop accessible bin under a workbench would be a good idea. Much better than brushing everything onto the floor.What I found was the lid itself is well made from stainless steel and swings smoothly. But annoyingly there’s no cutting template or installation instructions. So I wasn’t sure what size hole to cut or how to fit it. Though eventually, with a jigsaw, files, sandpaper and some grab adhesive, I did manage to fit this.After that it worked fine and still does, but I felt it does take up a lot of table-top space. Another thing with this is the price, at nearly 30 quid it’s close to the cost of a decent standalone bin. Yet when compared to similar items it’s actually quite reasonable.So I’d have to say if you need something like this it’s worth getting. But only if you are really sure you need it.

Title: Good product at a reasonable price
Review: Whilst this was intended for use in kitchen, my application is in my workshop, where I need to be able to quickly dispose of small polishing cloths after use on my lathe. By setting this into the worktop, and locating a metal container underneath to contain the cloths, I have a great solution to disposing of such waste.It is a very attractive item, and probably overkill for my application, but it works. The top is also nicely weighted, meaning that it always returns to the closed position after use, simple but effective.A very nice product
